Ok my baritone acoustic got all setup and fixed by a masterful guitar builder, I can finally go to get it on monday :) Cant wait to go to the river closeby to play it some in the sun and empty quiet places.
Can't wait to hear some new music with that
Who wants to see Herman Li being a dumbass and breaking his strap in the process?
Can't wait to hear some new music with that
Now that's some lovely words, thank you man that made me happy  I will record it with 3 mics, double or triple layered for songs. I will have the piezo pickup the mic pickup in the back of the body and my microphone picking up the sound on each layer  I want to have the huge sound hearable fully in the mix.
Nazereth have you ever played the blue album all the way through from start to finish without stopping? I just tried and fucked up on buddy holly of all songs.
Yes, one day I want to do a whole album cover.
Who wants to see Herman Li being a dumbass and breaking his strap in the process?
So he breaks the strap by doing that move and a few minutes he later he does it again? I feel bad for his guitars.
I love this song so much
anyone have any tips on how to clear noise out of my sound? I like distortion but if I use a noise gate it makes it difficult to pull off harmonics and cuts down on my sustain, and if I don't use a noise gate then it's BSSHHHSHSHSH in the background. I have humbuckers, so at least there's that, but still. And yes, nothing wrong with my wiring.

I'm finally getting the Seymour Duncan Steve Harris pickup for my P-bass. Shame it's not white or royal blue metallic with a mirror guard though... I could always get it painted but that takes a while and there's always a chance that it might not play the same as it does now if it gets taken apart, and right now, this thing plays perfectly for me. Hopefully I should have the pickups in by the end of next week.
anyone have any tips on how to clear noise out of my sound? He was running a Boss SD-1 with a GE-7, all the mids boosted and there was a constant horrible hiss coming from his amp, he bought an NS-2 and it works a treat, but you have to be very careful where you set it. Too much and you lose sustain and harmonics, as you say, but too little and you get a lot of hiss still coming through. It takes a little while to dial it in but once it's there, you can just leave it.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/zcXRffB.jpg[/img_thumb] This is how I'm holding my pick when I try to do pinch harmonics. And this is how I hold it normally incase anyone wants to tear my technique a new one. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/A0RqrrT.jpg[/img_thumb]
Learned mouth of kala by gojira by ear the other day, still need to work on tremolo picking a lot though
What gate are you using?
I just use the one built into my amp. I found a spot that lets me play normally and get less noise, but I don't know how it sounds without headphones.

*Skip to 1:40 for the incident.
is he singing anything in that song or is he just a ghoul
My active PJ bass had its pickups too low for my taste and whenever I raised them they would just wobble insanely around and slip back to the old position. Google'd and the internets told me to buy some foam to put underneath them, yeah sure. I took out the pickups and let the foam expand a little. Meanwhile, I shoved underneath the split P pickups some cotton and a old norwegian coin my father brought me from his trips at the extremities of each pickup. Hopefully the cotton will prevent the coins from vibrating if that happens. At the J pickup I just shoved a buttload of cotton at each extremity. Works fairly well I'd say. The pickups are nicely stiff and high enough. And now, since the output is higher, the bass one day I thought was too muddy suddenly has its treble so harsh the crappy preamp distorts the sound by itself, because who needs pedals.
I would like to learn some fingerpicking
I am fairly new to guitar as well and the finger picking songs I've learned are Baby I'm going to Leave you - Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin, Landslide - Fleetwood Mac, and Nothing Else Matters - Metallica. I would recommend doing landslide first if you have a capo.
that toneee
hendrixy tones best tones i want this pedal.
I think fuzz pedals sound cool on higher notes or single notes but when played in lower chords it sounds kinda unspectacular or bad to me. [editline]30th June 2014[/editline] I'm picking up my baritone in an hour, I can't wait aaaaa
You know how people refer to tangled up earbuds as little demons fucking them around in your trouser pocket? I'm certain something like that exists for guitar straps too. 2 days and my strap's already twisted.

Shit, one more bass lesson next week and then it's none until September.
has anyone here owned a squier telecaster? of any model? I'm considering buying one as i've tried squiers before and they all seem to be of good quality. i've been playing about 5 years now and i don't have the money to spend on a high end guitar so i was wondering if these deliver a nice tone and are playable. if anyone else can offer a low priced telecaster style guitar which would beat one of these that would be cool also.
misha handles it way better
He does handle it better. And I'm happy you showed us/me this video. Every time I hear screamo, I don't enjoy the screaming, but the breaks when they sing sounds SO EPIC. I fucking love it.
I'm going to learn the intro to The Spirit of Radio wish me luck.

Good fit and finish and well balanced on top of that.
