Back from the England trip! :D
I got myself a Little Big Muff!
screamo
am I being trolled right now
am I being trolled right now
Screamo was only ever a descriptor for punk and emo music with "I got throatfucked by a horse" vocals, so there's no reason it can't be extended to other genres.
[editline]30th June 2014[/editline]
I mean, if I was going to troll somebody who listened to djent, it'd be by calling it grindcore, not screamo of all things.
thanks so much! is the note clarity of the pickups good?
They are pretty clear, cheaper pickups usually tend towards being too muddy but the pickups they use in their CV and VM series seem to be alright. The humbucking pickups in cheaper guitars seem to be where the real mud lies but because you are looking at a tele you don't need to worry about that.
He does handle it better.
And I'm happy you showed us/me this video. Every time I hear screamo, I don't enjoy the screaming, but the breaks when they sing sounds SO EPIC. I fucking love it.
I think you'd enjoy Monuments, especially their new album.
Chris Baretto is the singer and he used to be part of Periphery A LONG time ago, absolutely amazing singer/vocalist.
Not to mention Browne, their guitarist.
Fucker is insane.
I'm going to learn the intro to The Spirit of Radio wish me luck.
Spirit of the Radio is one of the easiest Rush songs to play, even the solo is pretty easy.
[editline]1st July 2014[/editline]
The intro is the boring part of the song to play though :)
I never heard or felt such an acoustic guitar, this baritone is amazing (I got it back yesterday). I need to set it up in a way where I can record exactly what I hear. The strings are very tight and the action is absolutely perfect. The strings have such an great effect on the longer scale and the big body, it's almost as if I can hear some sort of reverb in the body from the strings in a way that I can't describe, which actually happens in some way. I never heard such an instrument, when I play I feel it vibrating in my body too. Also it's the loudest acoustic guitar that I ever played, it really pronounces the volume amazingly so you can really play your soul out on this thing.
Playing that thing is guitar porn guys.
Why is barre chording so hard? I can play some of them pretty okay, if I'm barring with my first finger. Now I'm trying to play a B(?) 024440 is the strings.
Is my ring finger just retarded or what? I know people say you need to have your barring finger be straight on, and I just can't do that.
Do people bar with something other than the index finger? For just ordinary Barre chords?

Maybe the action on the guitar is to high?

Now record a little so we get to hear this monster!
Now record a little so we get to hear this monster!
It sounds great recorded but I still need to buy a new microphone to record it's very soul from the sound hole :v: will record something DI without mic today.
Maybe the action on the guitar is to high?
Action? I think it's just my fingers though. Before he gave me the guitar the guy in the guitar store adjusted, got the strings closer to the board. I can't control my fingers properly I think.

you really just have to keep practicing, your skin will toughen up and it'll be easier to press the strings down. For chords like B, C, D etc you can do it by barring with your index on the root note and then using your other 3 fingers to line up, but it is really tightly cramped however some arpeggios etc require you to do them this way.

It just feels like I'll break my fingers if I have to press that far down. Also I can't keep my fingers straight on like that. I have no idea what to do :(

You keep practicing and trying. If you could do everything perfectly the first time there wouldn't be a need to practice it.

This basically, another tip is to make sure you press with your thumb aswell as the index finger, if you have problems with notes not sounding, that is.
Shit I bought something, I should have stayed away from GC...
where the hell are you getting all the money from, havent you bought like 6 guitars in 3 months :D
If I told you I would have to kill you...
Only 3 guitars recently, my strat, p bass, and now this.
Have you ever put fresh strings on and find them way too twangy and have to readjust your amp to compensate?
I replaced my NASTY 10-52 set with an 11-50 set and i had to start from scratch on my tone, too much mids, treble and gain, not enough bass (smaller gauge)
Ducktape them to your guitar and they will stay put forever
Even better, get a couple of those cheap plastic strap locks first, put them on, and then tape over that. it both keeps your strap in place AND it will never ever fall off when playing when standing up
Schaller Strap locks!

I put a set on my Musicman Stingray 6 years ago, I'm still using the same set with the same strap and they've been gigged near enough every week. worth every penny. I think I paid £10 for mine.
I love the fact I can get the bass out and *click* *click* strap is on

there's this crazy thing called gainful employment where you go somewhere and do work in trade for currency
That's still quite a bit of disposable income though.
When you live at home and hassss a solid income with no expenses there's atleast 1 NGD a month
dropped by the guitar shop the other day to pick up some strings, they didn't have any .13s for 6 string so i tried some 7 string guitar strings (.10-60) and i really like the looseness of the high strings but the low end is nice a thick. it's basically a light top heavy bottom string pack with a heavier low end.

I wish I lived at home with no expenses... :suicide:
it's great tbh

theres this thing called guitars can be fucking expensive as fuck
[editline]4th July 2014[/editline]
can = are
If you have no debt and no expenses a guitar doesn't look as expensive.
