you really need to get a noise gate. it sounds pretty bad with the flanger going up and down when you're not actually playing anything

Good string bends and good vibrato but I gotta agree with Schmaaa that noise is obnoxious, your playing is massively improving month by month. It's gonna be exciting for you to look back years from now and see your progress. Of course I look back 5 years and I am embarrassed by what I find...

Thanks and yeah, sorry about the noise. I decided to use try and use a virtual amp instead of my actual amp, and I didn't have an interface at that time, so it's just the guitar straight into the computer.

I used to do the same thing, a good trick is to turn down the input's level and try and compensate for it with more gain in the amp sim.

looks like it's an old silvertone bobkat 1477

it's definitely a bobkat, they were made by Harmony and Silvertone so it could be either brand. there's a lot of variants with different pickup options (usually DeArmond foil pups) and vibrato bridges but they're all essentially the same guitar.
It does say Silvertone on the headstock in the picture though. Comparing the two, it's identical.

I love the looks of explorers, but never played one. I played a destroyer but it didn't ring with me. I want an ESP Snakebyte though. That thing looks like it has better access.
