Anyone own any Jackson's?
Is the apple sticker still on your guitar btw? let it sit long enough for there to be an imprint once you remove it
Anybody have an idea why Guitar Rig doesn't see my speakers or any headphones I plug in?
Just got back from hanging out with a friend while he was getting his ear impressions done, the audiologist who was doing his impressions was hilarious. He is very gullible and she kept fucking with him, saying crap like "Yeah there is a 50/50 chance these won't come out and we will have to take you to the ER." And while she was putting the foam stops deep in his ear she said "I have been so jumpy lately." you can tell she has spent quite a bit of time doing ear impressions in the presence of bands who aren't afraid of a joke. All in all it was a fun morning, his band just got endorsed by 1964 Ears so he was getting his impressions done for a pair of V6 IEM.
Anybody have an idea why Guitar Rig doesn't see my speakers or any headphones I plug in?
Could be any number of things. Are you using it with an audio interface or your soundcard, the standalone executable or a plugin, and do you have it set to use a driver for the correct device?
Any explorer owners here? I'd love to see more explorers. I love explorers. I am interested.
can someone explain to me how you can even play with that many strings. like what is the specific purpose of it. i get there are just more tones, but there are so many quirks to change what note youre playing or how it sounds.
eight strings are cool and all, but a lot of them just look plain ugly
Could be any number of things. A 2.1 speakerset plugged into on-board soundcard. Dammit, I need to get myself a proper interface of some sort.
disable any audio outputs you arent using [editline]20th July 2014[/editline] worth a shot

I love playing six string guitars but sometimes I would like to have an instrument that forces me to use an different approach just so I can discover more by myself which helps fuel my creativeness. I am a guy that always aims to do something new, I love to innovate for example and I would like to play around with tunings and make a full album dedicated to such an instrument just like I did before with my other albums. On imperfection I used my prs baritone tuned mainly to C# octave down. On chemical I didnt even use guitars and wanted to highlight distorted slap bass playing. One of my next albums features mostly my baritone acoustic guitar. You get my viewpoint by now I bet. it's not about using, it's about having the possibility to do things differently than before. [editline]19th July 2014[/editline] By the way this is the songwriter approach I am talking about. I am not interested in being the best shredder or the best at anything, I am interested into making my idea of musical aproach come true each time I change up something massively again.
I am interested.
Is that the prototype that was at namm or a new photo of an RG90qm?
Is that the prototype that was at namm or a new photo of an RG90qm?
It's a series model now: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/page14_jp.php?cat_id=1&series_id=1&data_id=147&color=CL01#.U8qou_l_tfs
Ahh, in the Japanese section. Have you seen the FF bass yet in there? It's expensive as hell. [editline]19th July 2014[/editline] And is it tuned to the same C# your PRS was?
Ahh, in the Japanese section. Have you seen the FF bass yet in there? [editline]19th July 2014[/editline]
And is it tuned to the same C# your PRS was?
Yes and it can take bass strings which is making this the better instrument than agile for me. They really checked most of the boxes on doing a good big instrument.
Shit. Tell me how it is once you get it. I'm gonna feel torn between this and the PRS now. I wonder why Ibanez haven't added the RG90BKPISH or the RG9QM to the American side of the site

A lot of stuff will arbitrary conflict with Windows if the system default device is what they're trying to use.

I just want to buy totally different instruments all the time because I can't justify and I don't need almost exact copies of my guitars.
can someone explain to me how you can even play with that many strings. like what is the specific purpose of it. i get there are just more tones, but there are so many quirks to change what note youre playing or how it sounds.
Two approaches: -Allows for playing super low and regular volume stuff without switching guitars during a set or session. Sometimes you want to be able to go from Neo-post-doomcore to a shitty Foreigner song without a second instrument at a different pitch. -You can tune certain strings to the same pitch, and the strings near them higher or lower than done elsewhere. Allows for easier chords, octaves, etc. than if you were fixed in one tuning across the same range. I really ought to get a second guitar. I love my 7, but I feel like I'd have a lot of fun with an 8 or 9 and more room to do some silly tunings.
Now here's a question. How low of a note d'ya think my DSL40 could handle?
Looking at its frequency response, down to a G2 normally and all the way to B0 if you have a compressor and don't care if the speaker survives.
guys what is BOSS' number 100 pedal? DA-2, MO-2, or TE-2? Need it for a chance to win the TE-2 :D my guitar shop is holding a contest where you can win a BOSS pedal each day in this month. so theres not that many pedals left.
TE-2. google!
I did google it!!!!!!!!!!!! where did you find out?
first link "Boss 100th pedal"

Or would I be better off with a 'proper' interface like this?

Because that second device isn't a "proper" interface either. Every audio interface manufacturer's cheapest models use off the shelf components, controllers, and drivers, so you're getting meh performance regardless of who you go with in that price range. Of the stuff on that store page, the cheapest interface with notable performance is the Komplete Audio 6, followed by the RME Babyface. Anything cheaper than that, just go with what knobs and buttons appeal to you most.

It works

No where near the quality of their saffire line but I think it is the ideal entry level interface. I didn't think much of Focusrite until I spent some time over at Crabwalk Studios in the Valley and hung out with some people in the recording business.
