Ebay?
Instrument cable or guitar cable from pedal to amp?
Hey guys (and girls?), anyone know where I can find this or something like this anywhere?

It doesn't need to be specifically this guitar... but I just really love the design, colour, whammy bar and the fact that it has a killswitch. And the price is good too - unfortunately, I can't find anyone who sells it.
shit I was looking around for one and accidentally put an order in for one

well they didn't have any in stock and it's discontinued

Well if you come across anything similar, let me know.
I bought some small Jazz III picks, max grip. Nylon red ones. They are pretty good, a little small but I'll get used to it. I'm definitely a lot more precise with these though.
guys I think I can play the Layla riff pretty well, that is so much fun. The solo is giving me some trouble though, I'll try to learn it sometime.
Hey I'm going to buy a new AMP soon with the money I've made during my summer work, I've been thinking about getting a Line 6 Spider IV 75W. I play mostly Punk rock and just wonder if it's suitable for that genre or if its leaning more towards metal.
No, don't get a Spider IV. I got one and it's really mediocre.

Really? You know any better in the same price range?
The 75w might be better than my 30w, because of the different features, but mine isn't that fantastic.
Try to find an used tube amp, that's my suggestion.
I would say that a Fender Mustang III would be a good choice. It's 100W, solid state, and a modelling amp, plus with the Fender Fuze software you basically have infinite possibilities for tone. My band uses a Mustang II to practice with and it's pretty awesome. Good cleans, and good dirty tones. The III has more customisation, even just with the knobs on the amp itself. I think it also has far more modelling stuff as well since you can choose pedals. It should be about the same price as the Spider according to the prices on Thomann.
This is a view of the control panel on it.

Oh yeah, my friend got one, apparently it's pretty fantastic.
I own a IV and it's pretty solid. It's not the best sounding amp in the world, but considering how many features, build in effects, tons of presets, ect. it has, it's well worth the price. I assume the III would be the same way.
I've been listening to a lot of rock lately and I've been thinking a lot of big, stupid thoughts. I want to learn how to play the bass, but it's going to be a month or two before I can pay off some money I owe and save up for it. I don't know where to begin when shopping for one, so I was wondering if you guys had any advice.
My budget will be between $200-$300, so I won't be buying new, and I'd prefer something other than a generic Stratocaster shape (or if I do take one, I'll be looking for unpainted wood). Suggestions?

Is the Bronco 40 any good btw?

I switched from those to the Jazz III XL nylons. If they ever make these with the max grip hatching it'll be my favorite pick ever.
its time to buy some effects pedals

I haven't used Jazz IIIs in a long time, I still have 2 of them attached to the end of my headstock on my ibanez. I found them to be too small for my huge hands and by the time I had noticed the XL version I had switched back to normal tortex picks, right now I am hooked on planet waves .70mm celluloid picks.
i have big hands too but theyre working out pretty well for me, probably due to the way i hold my pick.

Well on top of having big hands I have fat fingers, I love the thickness they have but I just hate how small they are. I might go pick up some of the XL Jazz IIIs and see if they suit me better.

I love satchel so much
can anyone tell me about their experiences with a digitech whammy and how useful it is?

i had one for about a year, i used it mostly for dive-type effects for riffs and getting sort of a fake chorus effect.
eventually i sold it and got an EHX POG instead but still, pretty useful and quality pedal.

He is great, I got to meet him WAY back when I still lived in Vegas in 2003 when they were doing their Van Halen cover band Atomic Punks. Back when he was known as Russ. Great guy, that was a long time ago but he still had his sense of humor, I don't think there was a better cover band.

If the Mustangs are anything to go by then yes. I tried one once at a low volume (I was in the local music shop and I don't like playing obnoxiously loud in that shop) and it was pretty good, good range of tones, etc. It'd be a perfect practice amp but don't expect to do anything other than practice with it as it won't be anywhere near loud enough.

i'm super skinny and so are my fingers. i have piano fingers basicly. i call them keyboard fingers though, cause i play so many pc games lelele. speaking of fingers, ive basicly torn the skin on my first two fingers (not counting thumb) by playing the main riff in Layla over and over. I can play it fine, just gotta work on the transitions a bit.
My fingers are pretty big, but I can't spread them too much. I can't even do a simple 10-12-14 spread on my frets :v:
i still need to work on the stretchies, also im still very inaccurate with my last finger.
if you want to give your hand a good stretching, try playing the main riff to message in a bottle.
