My digital delay pedal came in the mail today, it's unbelievable, I've never heard a digit delay that sounds like this, it sounds almost like an analogue delay and the sound quality is top notch. It is made of solid metal and it only cost $45 too! Joyo JF-08 [editline]30th July 2014[/editline] and my bad monkey just came in the mail too, it looks and sounds like a bad monkey.
I have to say, some cheap pedals are pretty decent. I have the BiYang Tri-Reverb which is ~60 bucks, and it sounds pretty good. It also doesn't seem to suck much/any tone. Minimal features, but enough to satisfy your need if you need something more adjustable than spring/amp reverb.
Seeing Neil Young & Crazy Horse in 4 days. I'm so excited, but my ears are worried. I'm amazed at how he manages to squeeze that much noise out of a 15w Fender
shows aren't fun if they don't kill your ears. I saw Wolfmother in February and I got to stand right up the front in their speakers, was great.
Wolfmother didn't kill my ears, I was standing in the middle. I bet that with Neil Young, there will be no fucking place to hide.

I miss my guitar. I'm in Northern Denmark, and I haven't played since last friday.... and I had just begun play one of the Layla riffs really well... all I can think about.
Aah that bring back memories. My second month or so of guitar was centered around Layla :v:
Hey guys, I want to buy a cheap amp to go with my Epiphone Les Paul Junior which I got with Rocksmith. I've read good things about the Vox VT20+. Anyone have any experience with this amp? I can't really afford anything more than what that Vox costs.
I have the VT40+ (it's the exact same amp just 40 watts instead of 20, so it's louder) it has a lot of amp models on it, I don't know how close they are to the actual thing, but they sound nice and you can get it to sound pretty great, and you can get some nice overdrive out of it too if you crank the volume knob up on it. It's probably the best thing you can get as a starter amp, tbh, since it'll give you a lot of sounds to pick between and still sounds good. the only complains I really have are that I can't replicate Randy Rhoads' tone, and that you can't really fine tune the effects it has (it gives you basic controls though, so they sound fine). So if you plan on mucking about with effects, I would get a pedal for that.
Went on a trip to France and coincidently there was a show by Joe Satriani nearby. Awesome show. Really small, there must've been something like 200 people, maybe more. And there were also these 2 bands playing before. One had this singer wearing red glossy leather clothes and high heels. The second had these four dudes that three couldn't decide what to play. At least the drummer decided that he should play the drums and maybe sing when he felt like it, but the others kept switching between guitar, bass, synth bass, synth guitar, keyboard and shit. And their equipment failed as well. They had this dude helping them fix things mid-songs. Then Joe.
today I learned that in japan it's "front" and "rear" pickups instead of neck and bridge
today I learned that in japan it's "front" and "rear" pickups instead of neck and bridge
As far as I know there are 3 terms for pickup position. Neck and bridge, front and rear, and treble and bass. I usually use neck and bridge because I think it is the most widely understood. It just makes sense to me, pickup by the bridge and pickup by the neck.
on some les paul style switches they are called rhythm and lead i say front and back pickup mostly as that is what my guitar teacher from high school called them
another pedal came in the mail today, it's really heavy
My dad has an O.G. cry baby somewhere, pretty sure it still works, i should find it.

oh boy there's a new axe fx and it costs even more
oh boy there's a new axe fx and it costs even more
Wasn't that launched in March? It still sounds like a pretty good deal for what it is. [editline]31st July 2014[/editline] I wish Fractal made an expansion card for PCs like UAD's. Same architecture, and Fractal lacks the laziness that make the latter's plugins garbage.
haha can't wait to check out sevenstring.org to see that most of the axe fx buyers do shitty djent mixes which actually sound mostly horrible. They buy expensive guitars and expensive gear and sound like shite.
I don't even know what the fuck
Saw that two weeks or ago or something, it still weirds me out
Does anyone here have the means to record themselves? I wanted to try putting a guest solo in one of my songs and I figured i'd ask here before anyone else. https://soundcloud.com/souls-at-zero/pale-heart?in=souls-at-zero/sets/pale-heart-the-black-sun It'd start around 2:32 and continue till somewhere around 3:15
They buy expensive guitars and expensive gear and sound like shite.
That's not unique to sevenstring. That's pretty much the entire reason the extreme high end guitar market exists.

did a shitty cover suggestions or comments are welcome
JCM900s actually sound pretty decent when you turn down the gain and dial in the tone just right. Single coil telecaster sounds amazing through it.
I've been GASing for a PRS lately. No idea why, like I've always thought they're sexy guitars but I've never wanted to pull the trigger on one. Might have to now
So uh, I finally bought myself a brand spanking new guitar and uh, I FUCKING LOVE IT! Epiphone "Lucille" Best 300 bux I've ever spent!
New amp day! Dave at Baron Custom Amps whipped me up the ampy goodness and Jeff at J Design did the woodwork. I can't thank them enough. It surprisingly sat in the mix decently. Here is just the guitar stem. Double tracked. Speaking of amps, anyone able to recommend a good distortion pedal?
