I saw Neil Young. He played for like 2.5 hours. The sun set after like an hour and he finished with "Keep on rocking in the free world" Fuck. I have no words except for FUCK ME.
man if only there were some subtitles
Yeah the only thing I am pretty sure of is he says "pause" in spanish right before the stations and then hides or acts normal.
Treated myself to a new strap and guitar cable and OH, what a joy it is to have a strap that actually lets me have my bass at the right height.
I was only jamming to Audioslave what the fuck happened? [img_thumb]https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/10522150_10202264980926415_80918054129682120_n.jpg?oh=7517d12411bdb5a13bebe0a040b27f63&oe=54699045&__gda__=1415814132_70012591e8281a394f2f093be438594b[/img_thumb]
apparently my friend's mom knows a guy who works at the local music store and he bought like 3 packs of strings and a 15 ft cable for 8 bucks wtf
welcome to the world of retail
Its sick retail my mate works in a bath / plumbing store as a GM. I asked him to hook the parents up with an all in one unitbfornthe bath room like a toilet sink cupboards etc. Said they got quoted £700 by the local store. He got it delivered to the house next day for £280. Its mental what the mark up is on some stuff.
Been working a lot on trying to play A Team on my acoustic now, tough song to learn. I was a little confused about how long to play the chords for each bar, but I figured it out now. Now I just need to work on the chord changes and holding the strumming. Definitely a lot of fun. The small percussive hit is way too hard for me though, for now.
I've spent the last three days(besides working full-time) on learning Here I go again from Whitesnake. It's a really nice song to play on an acoustic guitar, especially because you can improvise a lot, but my sore fingers are stopping me from playing a lot. Did anyone of you also learned to sing besides playing guitar?
I can sing and play guitar really well, but I cant sing for shit

I'm one of those dirty posers who knows shit loads of chords but never really plays seriously. And I want to get serious about playing the guitar, so what scales should I make myself familiar with?
I only know the Cm pentatonic scale from low to high 7-10 7-9 7-9 7-9 7-10 7-10 i dunno what to do with it other than play some improv licks that arent that great but follow the scale
I learned the pentatonic scale not long ago....... And forgot it. Again.

I've just come to the realization that the pentatonic scales follow the same pattern and I feel a bit like an idiot.
I don't wanna freak you out but there's only actually like a handful of scale shapes
Have you tried the solo on acoustic yet? I sing, but can't play at the same time. For now...
I have tried it but I am not fast enough to play it well ;)
i'm the background vocalist in our band and i can sing pretty well atm but i can't practice properly because i live in a highrise apartment. higher notes require higher volume and neighbors wouldn't like that. shit sucks
Man I am not even through summer quarter here in college and I am already getting excited about fall quarter when I start the audio engineering program down here at SFCC. I am actually a little bit terrified but at the same time I am extremely excited, anxious I guess I would call it. It's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun, while I could have picked an easy major I decided to do what I want to do. I am lucky to have experience as a musician as well as an engineer already but I still feel anxious like crazy.
I have tried it but I am not fast enough to play it well ;)
I love the solo, it's so short and sweet but still catchy and fun. The only fast part is that ascending bit at the very end, which is hard on acoustic cos sucky access.
I doubt you offended anybody by asking questions and following directions. :v: [editline]6th August 2014[/editline] Does anybody make a cheap acoustic bass that sounds decent? I know there's an Ibanez and Dean around $300 but I haven't been able to try either in a store.
I don't think anyone makes an expensive one that sounds decent, let alone a cheap one. the only thing that's got a passable tone in my opinion is that kala ubass thing but those things are so tiny it would be like playing a new instrument
I love the solo, it's so short and sweet but still catchy and fun. The only fast part is that ascending bit at the very end, which is hard on acoustic cos sucky access.
Yeah it's very nice but that last bit is indeed quite hard on an acoustic guitar. But it's such a great song though so just gotta practice until I get it

Anyone know where I can get some decent parts for a Les Paul in the UK? I'm talking completely new guts if I need to, as well as trim and machine heads.
Oh my god I just started remixing and remastering my Chemical album (distorted slap bass album) and holy fuck is this an improvement, this must be lucifer mixing and mastering the tone.
Oh my god I just started remixing and remastering my Chemical album (distorted slap bass album) and holy fuck is this an improvement, this must be lucifer mixing and mastering the tone.
I was actually considering making a distorted-bass style EP like yours, what do you use to record/master?
Here is one of the songs remastered and remixed: [editline]10th August 2014[/editline]
I was actually considering making a distorted-bass style EP like yours, what do you use to record/master?
I use FL Studio, POD HD, Yamaha rbx375 bass and a hella lot of experience with eqs and compression. Always share your results with me, I am always interested in listening. So one of my buddies just got an amazing argument for getting strap locks. Namely a chipped body (apparently somewhat similar to this), a snapped string and a little bit of lost blood to top it off.
what the fuck :v:
He was jamming with his band, leaned forward ("because it looked cool and I wanted to try it") and his strap slipped off. He tried to grab his guitar but pulled his highest string instead with full force on his fingertips before falling on top of it on a concrete floor. "Dude, don't you have strap locks or something?" "No, I don't. In hindsight, I probably deserve this." At least he can take solace in the fact that he isn't someone Justinguitar apparently saw, who broke a headstock off a vintage Les Paul because he didn't have strap locks.
