and there's nobody that gets all mad when I fuck with them anymore either
and there's nobody that gets all mad when I fuck with them anymore either
They have become wise to your antics.
i can't believe i used to play super slinkies
Apparently I am Iggy Azalea.
I feel like that quote could do with some context.
Mine is a little fancier than yours. I'll see if I ever get a chance for a pic.
This. I guess I was referring to AugustBurnsRed's GreenScreamer. I have no idea anymore.
steel picks with baritone acoustic = yes please

If it was flipped the other way I would make a "give her the D" joke, but as is I don't know what the fuck.
the newest form of djent guitar has arrived perfect higher fret access with extended upper fretboard. [editline]16th August 2014[/editline] the future is now
It's a shame Graphtech makes seven-string sets of their Ghost pickups, but they require modifying the bridge to actually install. Kinda wish they would have made them work by drop-in and just had the wire come out behind the saddles instead of the front. [editline]16th August 2014[/editline] God damnit dude. Jesus Christ, that's the guitar equivalent of Chechen garage gun.
it's like those cheap guns that rednecks make in their basement that look like they'd blow up if you shot it except this looks like the headstock would just fall off
Was looking up parts to (finally) get my LP working again, find the odd one out: [t]http://goo.gl/VvnPb7[/t]
Ooooh, so that's where the term 'guitar wankery' comes from.
surround sound
That must have been an annoying top/back to cut out. Like a few hours on the band saw. I wonder if it's even one piece.
I've decided to stop fumbling around the fret board blindly finding stuff all the time, it was fun but I felt like I kept locking myself into one place with playing and I've decided to learn all the notes on the fret board, I've learned notes on one string then I figured out the other ones easily by playing and listening. Makes my life so much easier now.
I'm not coordinated, will it be impossible to play well? How easy is it to teach yourself?
Just purchased a cheap Ibanez bass amplifier from the pawn shop. I'm committed now; I'll be shopping for a bass guitar and I'll post the setup once I assemble it all.
I'm not coordinated, will it be impossible to play well? How easy is it to teach yourself?
you just have to keep practicing, don't expect to pick up a guitar and be a master at it in a years time.
Don't rush it or you'll end up a sloppy mess like me.
I'm not coordinated, will it be impossible to play well? How easy is it to teach yourself?
Take it nice and slow, learn easy songs before trying to progress into hard stuff. Get a teacher if possible as they would be able to teach you the fundamentals you might not pick up teaching yourself.

Bought a Big Muff, Soul Food, and T-Rex Yellow Drive Pedal yesterday I'm trying to get a smashing pumpkins sound out of it but I'm going through an effect pedal. I probably need to buy a Fender Amp eventually.
I finally got a les paul after a year of playing acoustic (shitty phone quality, sorry) I'm still pretty new to playing guitar, so far I've been just trying to learn tabs. Is there anything else I could do in addition to that?
^Learn scales and where the notes are on the frets. Learn licks as well
learn to read sheet music, you'll thank me if you ever pick up another instrument
I agree, knowing piano sheet music helped me a lot to learn other forms such as guitar tablature, but that sort of thing is easy anyway.
I agree, knowing piano sheet music helped me a lot to learn other forms such as guitar tablature, but that sort of thing is easy anyway.
that reminds me why isnt there a piano thread
because the piano is for pussies
Just bought one of these on ebay, paid $100 with free shipping: Tomorrow I'll be stopping by the music store to pick up the remaining supplies I need to start learning this thing.
