Just bought one of these on ebay, paid $100 with free shipping: Tomorrow I'll be stopping by the music store to pick up the remaining supplies I need to start learning this thing.
Nice Hoping to get an acoustic soon, seems like the best option since I don't know if I'll be in to playing or not
Oh wow, whoever had this Les Paul before me had the neck pickup installed upside down and I can't believe I'm so stupid to only just notice.
I really need to stop buying guitars with Floyd Rose locking tremolos. They're so fucking annoying
first two hour music lesson with the official school band tonight!!! so excited.....
Hey everyone, I bought an overdrive pedal, gain pedal, and a big muff and I run it through my line 6 effect pedal. For some odd reason I get a lot of feedback. I put it on the cleanest setting and I still get feed back when I use more than one pedal. Does anyone know what the issue is?
Have you tried switching your chain around? Some pedals might not play together well if they're in certain places.
Working on making my own guitar! It's my first ever so it probably wont be perfect but whatever, having alot of fun!

I always thought strats looked kinda lame
looks great so far man, did you make it from scratch? [sp]pls dont put emgs in it[/sp]
Nah, I had an old candyred guitar laying around (a cheapass one), sanded all of the red off, was a shitload of work, then painted it white with a basecoat, then black, then taped the body off and painted it white, gonna scratch off the tape soon, and then tape again and paint it red, make it like a frankenstratty look.
If I can't use these stock Epiphone pickups, what could I use to replace them that aren't too expensive.
If I can't use these stock Epiphone pickups, what could I use to replace them that aren't too expensive.
What's your price range? Can you install them yourself?
I always thought strats looked kinda lame
Jazzmaster style bodies are best.
Jazzmaster style bodies are best.
White les pauls are the best
Bodies that have full fret access are best.
I like solid color strats a lot too, actually, but the white controls/plate over the other color looks really bad IMO
Oh hell yes my new Ace Frehley album arrived a day before release, thanks amazon prime.
-possibly a bad idea-
I didn't know anyone from Kiss was still making music
I didn't know anyone from Kiss was still making music
Kiss put out an album in 2012 but I haven't been following them much since their second breakup in 2001 when Ace Frehely left. He put out an album back in 2009 and then just released this one today. It sounds like Ace, he was never one for vocals and even he will admit that but there is something about his playing that captures me.
What's your price range? Can you install them yourself? When you say "the cleanest setting", do you mean all the controls zeroed or all the pedals bypassed?
Probably like 40$ each? I'm just looking for something that'll work.
So my wiring harness arrived, but it's all in one piece (i.e the switch is hooked up to the pots/jack), should I just install the switch and then feed the rest through to the control cavity or is there some other way I should be doing this?
u fucking wot I think I get an harp guitar in the future.
first two hours with the band sucked. apparently barely any of them knows anything about music. they wanted me to play legohouse by ed sheeran. i told them i dont know how to play it, and i cant just learn it in 5 minutes. "it's just an Am". they still dont understand it's not just always as simple as doing a campfire strum on the chord.
set homework ok we cant do shit together, lets come back next week with a couple songs to play together.
Probably like 40$ each? Avoid stuff that sounds like a brand but really isn't- Powered by Lace, Duncan Designed, etc. all tend to sound kinda flabby.

Awesome, both pickups work as well as the wiring harness. Saved myself about £50!
guys guys guys, I tuned my acoustic baritone to AEACEA and recorded something, this is quite the manly tuning! [HD]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzUj3Zd4AsY[/HD] :v:
Okay so I made a small mistake and the paint is not fully covering the black stripes, so I'll have to either repaint the thing white and then paint it red, which will take about 3 days, or leave it like this, and then have white, darkred and black stripes on the guitar which also seems quite cool, what do you guys think?
