Do any of you have an opinion on tremolo stabilizers? I'm looking to replace my Tremel-No, which turned out to be super fucking useless.
A piece of wood.
guitar through bass amps yes
bass through guitar amps no (it can sometimes damage them)
If you play a bass through guitar amp speakers it'll damage it, but through a head it shouldn't make any difference. You can play bass through a guitar amp at low volumes and it'll be fine as well. I've played my basses through a Fender Mustang and a Marshall DSL 201, and because I played at a low volume they were totally fine, and still are. As long as the speakers can cope with the frequencies they shouldn't break (basically get a bass cab).
Man I must be the happiest guy in the world right now... I sold 5 cd's in 2 days and it's literally saving my rent right now. This guy down here just posted that on my facebook page...

Are thicker picks generally better for bass? I'm using some .70s and they make my playing feel really sloppy.
have something my ye olde skoole thrash/speed metal band just put on tape yesterday

the first solo is mine, i messed it up a little though

yep
1 ish mm picks are decent for bass
I use 0.88s personally but they're really stiff, digging it
I use 1.14 nylon for guitfiddle, but nylon is a little too soft/bendy for bass to me.
Got some mesh heads on my kit now, as well I got some 1/4" neoprene rubber and cut out a piece to fit perfectly under the heads. Everything it much quieter now especially the bass drum where I used two sheets of the rubber.

There are also bigger triangle shaped picks you can get, which could be better to play with depending on your opinion.

i like purple tortex sharps for bass
hate them for guitar tho
Is there a big pack full of different picks so I can get a feel for them all?
I made a conclusion, ultex picks are the greatest picks for acoustic guitar that you can find. Everybody should try atleast an 0.73mm pair out and hear for yourself. I've been to countless picks trying to find that eq'ued bright, full sound and only steel picks and ultex give those very clarity rich tones.
Try it

Also they make old strings sound newer as they are.

Are they at Guitar Center?
Oh wait, they're just Dunlops. Thank you though for the information anyway. I'll be sure to get some!
Spent about 3 hours fucking around, first in Drop D since I forgot I had it tuned to that, then E Standard, then D and then C. Got a couple of riffs down and I think I'm starting to feel more comfortable shifting between strings, I found I do chords best with my pick loose and strumming with it pretty much solid.

Try mainly E standard and drop D. Drop D has plenty of easy songs with good shifting practice.
I finally got my cabinet moved out with me to my new place. :zoid:
My roommates have complained about my little Line 6 in the past. The time is upon them.

does anyone know?
sounds like guitar yodeling
new weezer album is out in Australia for some reason, its awesome.
[editline]3rd October 2014[/editline]
the last 3 tracks on the album are pretty much an 8 minute long instrumental of cool guitar stuff, great way to end the album.
How the hell do I start making songs?
