pick a three chord progression and make lyrics
How the hell do I start making songs?
just pick a key and try different chord progressions which sound good to you, don't overthink it if you're just starting. go with simple, frequent progressions (for example C-F-G or Em-Gm-Am) and try making something out of it! alternatively you can also take the chords from a song you like and play around with them, reverse the order, change a section, switch out a chord for another, etc. [editline]oh[/editline] don't worry if it sounds sparse or bare-bones, you can fill in the gaps later.
new weezer album is out in Australia for some reason, its awesome. [editline]3rd October 2014[/editline] the last 3 tracks on the album are pretty much an 8 minute long instrumental of cool guitar stuff, great way to end the album.
I agree it awesome, I hear a lot of Blue album influences in songs and Pinkerton in others. Pat wasn't lying when he said this album was going back to the original weezer. Hell they even used some of the same guitars they used on the Blue Album from Ric Ocasek's guitar collection and he is producing the album just like Blue. I have already pre-ordered the vinyl.
my amp decided to break down just now. god fucking damnit i don't have the money for fucking everything why just now why fucking why
Building a guitar: [IMG_THUMB]http://i.imgur.com/0mbyvx6.jpg[/IMG_THUMB] I won't be using that pickguard, though. It's just an old one I had lying around that has been used for various experiments (hence all the holes).
Gonna see if I can install a ground wire to the bridge on my les paul tomorrow, been running without one (despite it being fucking stupid) and I got a shock off the bridge pickup so I don't wanna risk killing myself much more.

Just a little more squared at the end and it's perfect.
Devin Townsend has a guitar with a fucking fog machine [img_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ByuAmpiCAAAxe0N.jpg:large[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ByuAB4zCUAAWNLM.jpg:large[/img_thumb] Just thought I'd share.
[thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12347804/2014-10-03%2013.16.47.jpg[/thumb] Got this Ibanez GSR180 the other day. I used to have some secondhand SX bass before that and I'm still novice (self-taught) but so far this is amazing.. And don't worry I'm not using the speaker on that amp I'm using decent headphones plugged in. Unfortunately the Big Muff thing doesn't work at all.. pressing the button doesn't light up the led and the battery shows 9V on the multimeter so it's not that.
Woo, bass buddies. What amp is that btw?
I'm not near it right now but it's just some shitty SX amp
So my other band (not my caynug stuff) did a live video shoot for one of our songs yesterday at a venue/club and what happened afterwards is amazing. The holder of the venue was so into us so that the video shoot turned into a whole 30min live show :v: Here's a small fan video behind the scenes where I am jumpin around goofy with my bass for the video
the music is totally legit but oh my god I hate everything about that guitarist's look
Maybe it's the video but are you secretly Jay from Jay and Silent Bob?
the music is totally legit but oh my god I hate everything about that guitarist's look
Same thought, can't really tell him that straight up or else we get into a fight. He's like 1 to 1 head from korn. [editline]4th October 2014[/editline]
Maybe it's the video but are you secretly Jay from Jay and Silent Bob?
Haha somebody else told me that too! :v: [editline]4th October 2014[/editline] You guys that do think that could do me a favor tho and comment on that somewhere where he can see it (for example on the video) maybe it gets him to think that he needs to be himself not his idol.
on a scale of 1-10 one being normal civilized humans and ten being average youtube comments how rough should we be
on a scale of 1-10 one being normal civilized humans and ten being average youtube comments how rough should we be
I say 3 :v: you could say the positive first and say something about the "guitar" player without cussing or straight hate
i just love everything about this song
Is there any wireless cable system out there on the market suited for live gigging + bass that any of you can recommend to me? Under 200€ would be ace.

I know Periphery uses a L6 wireless, and hell, there's a lot of good ones out there.
Some more stuff from that live concert surfaced to the internet and I cut out some parts I really liked so here's me rocking out in 2 gifs :v:
I'd kill to have good stage presence. I don't know it yet but I bet I'd do most of a gig curled up in a ball on a floor :v:
Bought myself a Boss DS-1 today and am currently running my bass through it. I love the sound, makes everything feel a lot more powerful.
What's the secret to shredding? I just learned Knights of Cydonia, which isn't that hard of a song actually, but the shredding parts are kind of hit and miss. Sometimes my hand holding the pick is too tense which makes my arm tired and drops the speed while other times I hold the pick too loose and it keeps hanging on strings. I'm not really sure about the way I am holding the pick either. I use a .58 pick because it's the only one I have lying around.
the secret is practice
the secret is practice
With a metronome, never going faster than you can play cleanly.
audioslave songs released on rocksmith, they are fun
