Oh man, I can´t believe I´ve never listened to anything by the Arctic Monkeys Shits p.good
playing their songs is fun [editline]20th October 2014[/editline] ordered a power supply and daisy chain for my pedals I bought a few months back so I can actually use them
Any ideas on how to get a tone similar to this? I have a POD HD500x, so one may know the limitations of my gear.

Im trying to learn 2 finger tapping again, it makes me really appreciate the callus on my fretting fingers because my tapping finger is soft and squishy. learning this song because it's relatively slow and simple
wish I could play like Tommy Emmanuel. He's the one of the tapping/ harmonics greats IMHO
So I figured that around Christmas, I should be able to get this.

The riff is slow, so it's good for just getting the rhythm of tapping down.
what are some good songs to practice arpeggios because i'm trying to play the chorus to divinations and the arpeggios are killing me. i got it down pat but it's still kinda hard and i'm awful at arpeggios in general.
I like Burning Heart by Vandenberg. Simple arpeggio stuff, and good cheesy 80's music. Also try the intro to Keeper Of The Seven Keys by Helloween. Still easy, but sounds really cool.
for anyone that cares i put the pink strings on my strat and i don't have a picture but they sound hella nice (this is a song i wrote last night, apologies for the weird crackles near the start i dunno how they happened)
Does anyone here have an Ebow? I've been looking at them and they would be perfect for the kind of music I like making.
Holy crap today escalated alot in my bands whatsapp group, I think our current guitarist is about to get kicked. I dont look forward to the stress.
Does anyone here have an Ebow? If I recall right it was one of the older chrome ones but either way it was fun as hell to play around with, not really my type of gadget but if it's a sound you need then go pick one up.
the weekly paul gilbert video
Holy crap today escalated alot in my bands whatsapp group, I think our current guitarist is about to get kicked. I dont look forward to the stress.
Woah, what happened?
I figured out why my G and high E string don't stay in tune and sometimes the G string sounds like ass, the string retainers are the clip style ones and they are bent. I was looking at replacing them with roller style, and I have a couple of questions: will any string retainer work, like if I just bought some from ebay labelled "Fender string retainer", will they work and has anyone ever had to replace their string retainer's and how has that affected the tone of the guitar?

"Tractorcore", it's the next logical progression in aussie music.
Woah, what happened?
It's a very very long story but our guitarist is an ego problematic heavy democrazy loving idiot and flat character. Well it all started with the presentation of a logo that my vocalists girlfriend and me have been working on. We did send it in the group and from there it escalated, at first theres been some pretty bad feedback and critism, then laughable bad suggestions for a "completely new" one although the current concept was marketing wise very to the point and fitting. From here it went all down the drain, he showed us non digitalized VERY bad logos he drew and it started to get into an argue (how can you argue with someone who doesnt know any shit but still has the loudest mouth). Chubsnug (my band) works like this currently: 4 people in one car, our vocalist is on the steering wheel since he's an incredible charismatic contact and pr guy, he's leading the big goals and bringing the big stuff in. I am the guy in the front seat without the steering wheel doing most of the important sound things, producing, fine tuning, day to day stuff and stuff that holds together the band. Our drummer is the guy that's sitting in the backseat and follows with trust what we both do with the band, when our drummer is needed or when possible to show, hes doing it better than everybody expected. Hes not talking alot, but hes doing a shitton and more when really needed. And now to our guitarist... he's sitting in the backseat not contributing at all but he's telling the steering wheel guy "no you cant do that, you go to fast, no you make an accident, do you even drive us there, hey second frontseat guy i dont like your talking, I dont like how dirty the windshield is, stop". Everytime everybody is motivated as hell this guy comes in and tries to convince us that this and that is bad and wrong. Ego problematic arsehole.
Drop the guitarist and get immediately famous without him.

Ego problematic arsehole.
The back seat driver of the band, my professor was discussing this today. In his band they have a sax player who barely knows how to read music so when they come to practice he has to sit down for a little bit and read a piece of music that he has played numerous times because he has forgotten a note. Instead of learning how to read it fluently so he can play it on the spot he makes them wait for up to 10 minutes to get all the notes down. And when they complain he bitches and moans that their handwritten sheet music is hard to read. Yet everyone else in the band knows how to read it just fine and he brought it in for us to look at and it's perfectly readable. On top of that he tries to make decisions for the band without them present and always demands that he get paid more even though they split all the money they get evenly. He literally referred to the guy as the back seat driver of the band.
Wow, your guitarist sounds like a right asshole. Come to think of it, his whole look makes a lot more sense now.
So I ordered my first pedal: And I am hyped.
Ego problematic arsehole.
drop that cunt like a hot rock tbh
Currently learning this beautiful song.
just checked out this band, really good shit.
Ego problematic arsehole.
Judging from that video you posted here earlier he seems like a poser anyway. He obviously has no character and so he completely rips off someone elses.
You guys are all so right :v: I don't know why my band/me kept our calm for so long with that guy. Now onto that a little bit costy and complicated operation of getting him out...
Does anyone have any experience with messing around with Telecaster's? Basically I like to play Reggae/Ska (all waves) and I need to graduate from babbys first chinese stratocaster knockoff to a proper guitar. I like the look of the Mexican standard but I don't want to end up cornered with a very specific guitar, so I might go for a modern player so I can mess around with the really wide range of pickups. Any thoughts, is it worth it?
