gotta catch 'em all
bought a Les Paul a few days ago! I have about 3 dollars left to my name until next payday but this thing is totally worth it. It's a 2012 70s tribute with mini-humbuckers
how much was it
fuck yes, finally got my new bass my camera doesn't do it justice, it's really sexy [t]http://i.imgur.com/DJ0mKvm.jpg[/t]
how much was it
$750 with a hard case
If the entire modern player series by fender is as good as the jazz bass I bought from it, hell, it's totally worth it. It's made in china, cheap but the quality is amazingly good.
I always wondered why people have many guitars?? I can see the benefit from having an acoustic, and different electric guitars with different tunings. But other than that, what's the catch? To me, the sound they produce are not strikingly different enough for me to waste money on more guitars.
There is always a difference.
To me, the sound they produce are not strikingly different enough for me to waste money on more guitars.
it's not a waste if you can hear the difference [editline]8th November 2014[/editline] plus it's not like there's only like four kinds of guitars out there
Different construction, different pickups, different woods all make different sounds. And different shapes too. I want a variety of these things, and some similar guitars for messing with tunings and the slightly different sounds.

Good looking bass though.
Speaking of basses, I saw Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) and The Light last night, with Andy Rourke (The Smiths) appearing for three basses on one song. Got band/crew passes and went to the dressing room and met them and chatted a bit.

Man went and saw my teachers show last night at a small local bar, he plays with a local funk band called the Stepbrothers. Honestly didn't have a single drip of alcohol last night and I woke up with a hangover. The amount of energy in this bar was intoxicating. On top of that I find out that my teacher is friends with Peter Rivera from Rare Earth and he plays with them. Fucking guy is getting old but he still has it and he is just a pleasant guy. Then my other teacher shows up and starts having a hell of a time, honestly it is just awesome to get to know your teachers outside of a classroom and on top of that he just fucking rips on keyboard. My other teacher who showed up jumped on stage for a song and kicked ass on saxophone. And on top of that this was a free show with no cover charge, it had to be one of the best shows I have seen in a while.
I think I might take a chance and see if I can attach the circuitry from my amp to the speaker in my bass amp. I know to keep myself grounded, and to unplug both speakers and flick them on and off a few times to clear any charges out of the system. Any other tips, besides "don't break them"?
I snapchatted a girl a video of my hand playing the solo of Existenste by ABR and now she wants to cuddle with me on my virthday on Saturday. I love life

My amp came in today! Peavey VTM-60, got it off eBay for $375, little bit more pricey than what I wanted but for <400, a 60 watt tube amp is fucking great. Best part is I don't even have a cab yet! :suicide:
grouse table tennis table just completes the picture
Yamaha now owns Line 6
Not sure what to expect. The products couldn't possibly get worse.
I recently visited Texas and pretty much visited every store I could find within an hours drive that sold guitars. I found a Fender Blacktop baritone. It was tuned to E standard. Why?
Because Texas.
Am I doing it right? I'd really appreciate some comments on this, tips, hints criticism, anything really. Not finished, nothing is final either.
Because Texas.
stupid knows no geographical boundaries [editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
Am I doing it right? yeah it still sounds a little off, do you record the drums then record the other tracks in time with the drums or do you use a metronome for each track? If the former then you should definitely use a metronome.
I don't know the exact tempo or beat/bar the riffs are in so I dunno what to set the metronome in, so I pretty much either go with the former or record guitar and then find drums that fit. All the drums are from Superior Drummer, Metal Foundry, either in Straight or Swing 4/4.
if you don't have a digital metronome you can find the tempo using a site like this: http://www.tempotap.com/ [editline]13th November 2014[/editline] its about 125-130 bpm
