That's debatable. We need more bands that take dream theater to a higher level.
unrelated [editline]18th December 2014[/editline]
That's debatable. We need more bands that take dream theater to a higher level.
it's been done though
yeah we need more dream theater almost as much as we need more creed and pearl jam
St. Vincent is amazing. I saw her at a free concert in Brooklyn without knowing anything about her or her music. Her toan in some tracks is awesome and I have no idea what to use to get a similar sound. If there was Creed or Pearl Jam or DT that was more betterer and not a dead horse..
according to an interview in guitar world she uses a kemper profiler
we need more of this shit tho. (absinthe, degge, cpt.armadillo on their first live show). [editline]19th December 2014[/editline] <3
rude [editline]19th December 2014[/editline] typical of the bass player to use a weapon, instead of his hands like a man though
I wanted to see if my slide would get stuck on my finger, it did
did that the first time I ever put on a slide I still need to order the next size up
Dad just uses a socket as a slide. Can always get one in the right size.
I've got a brass slide somewhere, but it's too small. They don't keep the right size for my fingers in stock at most music stores. I generally use a neck off a beer bottle for that reason
The acoustic I posted on the last page is straightening up nicely, I am actually surprised how far the top has come since I got it. I honestly think this thing is gonna play just fine.
Trying to learn In Loving Memory by Alter bridge. Still can't get the hang of the quick pull-offs but I will practice. Good song alright, my fingertops are dead
ever wondered how I feel writing most of my riffs?
I start getting paid by people on fiver for my mastering offerings :v: degge come buy my 5$ mastering for the album you are working on im waiting for you :v:
maybeeeee :)
The frets on my old stray are worn to hell :( Would it be better to try and refret it myself or just buy a new neck?
http://www.loiclepapesteelguitars.com/spip.php?article25&lang=en Motherfucker. I'm drooling.
Can anyone suggest a decent head and cab combo for bass for around 500 gbp?
The frets on my old stray are worn to hell :( Would it be better to try and refret it myself or just buy a new neck?
If you can obtain the proper tools then I would say go for it, it really isn't all that hard but it takes patience. Just do some research and decide if you feel you can tackle that project.
[img_thumb]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/modderman2/20141217_211749.jpg[/img_thumb] That had to happen, I can see why the fretboard came off. They barely used any glue, the fretboard pretty much fell off with barely any effort.
Go fretless tbh
omg we got the cabinet to work and I hooked up my amp to it and it sounds so sick. i'm in love guys catch me i'm about to faint [editline]21st December 2014[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/RvoaeKG.jpg[/t] edit: don't worry the amp isn't about to fall i fixed that right after i took the picture
http://www.loiclepapesteelguitars.com/spip.php?article25&lang=en Motherfucker. I'm drooling.
it has a bigsby and a forearm contour it's garbage
Why is that? Would you rather it was triangular and had four floyd roses? :v: Also, Neil Young begs to differ about the Bigsby.
I'd rather it was flat and had a stoptail tune o matic [editline]21st December 2014[/editline] and neil young is a stupid old cunt
Oh you and your shenanigans absinthe...
him and bob dylan are insufferable [editline]22nd December 2014[/editline] it was only last year that I learned that dylan was still alive everyone talks about him with such a reverence that's usually reserved for people that aren't around anymore
absinthe ur a meanie
I saw this thing on /r/bass and I'm fucking in love with how it looks. [t]http://i.imgur.com/hkiRDDc.jpg[/t] I've always been a fan of Rickenbacker 4000 and its lookalikes and this one's no exception. That finish is so goddamn pretty.
So I decided to learn this as my first guitar solo: I've already got the part up to 0:58 down, it feels so goddamn amazing to play [editline]22nd December 2014[/editline] also 1,500th post yay

Now that I have a job, I would be able to buy the parts and equipment to fix my frets, but if it's all going to add up to the same amount that it would cost to just buy a nice new neck, then I would rather go with that route than spend a lot of time and effort doing each individual fret.
