I don't know the gauge of either cable and the bass is passive.
probably voodoo then
I remember having the exact same problem with my new amp, I had to have my right angle cable in my bass to the pedals instead of in the pedals to the amp.
I has 30 scale 9 string GAS. Why the fuck.

Get a Telecaster because Teles are cool
gah, my strat keeps going out of tune again. I did all the stuff in that one video that was posted, but my low E, B, and G strings keep going out of tune whenever I bend. the guy in the video mentioned that doing a quick dive bomb with the trem will put it back in tune, but I can't do that every single time I want to do a bend.
EDIT: so I was thinking earlier and realized that since I don't actually play my strat very often, I haven't actually had to change the strings on it in a year. they're probably just falling apart.

his shirt looks like the NPC outfits from Oblivion :v:
I think if I can't get my Kramer from Thomann for whatever reason, I might go for a Jackson JS22 instead. They look good and I'm fond of the 80's pointy headstock kind of stuff.

Excuse the awful quality of my phone camera but after reading peoples recommendations and doing my own research I got this neat little pedal for 40 euros, it is so versatile and great.
So I replaced my bass strings with some slightly lower gauge, and now my first and second frets buzz quite a bit if I play them hard. Is this a truss rod problem? I can see the higher frets are way higher than the ones at the headstock if that helps visualise the problem.

I gave the neck some additional relief, it seems to have helped

lower gauge strings means less tension on the neck, so yeah truss rod was the right answer

i think I still need to adjust it more, the upper frets are still higher than they should but i dunno if its worth doing anything since i can play them just fine
Barely played legit Gibson SG Special 2012 for 345 USD including original Gibson deluxe bag. It's a good deal I've gotten from a friend. Gonna head over and buy it tomorrow. Also yep. It's a real Gibson.
Didn't you mention that a couple weeks ago while you waited for them to return from somewhere?

tbh fake gibsons are often better
supposedly gibson's QC has gotten better over the last 2 years

supposedly
yeah but they're also doing a 30% price increase and putting that stupid tuner on everything so who cares
buy second hand problem solved
So I bought an older-model Valveking recently. It traveled from Chicago, IL (sending location), to Greensboro, NC, in less than a 24-hour period. But, it has since been chilling in Western NC since Tuesday (I live in Eastern NC).
To my surprise, I found a small package on my computer chair from the sender of the amp just now. Surely a 50lb all-tube amp in all its glory couldn't fit in such a package!
---
UPS forgot to ship the power cord with the amp.
They sent the power cord separately.
Guess which piece arrived in the small package?

Yeah that happened with supplies I bought to fix that acoustic. I bought the nut and strings from the same business expecting them to arrive at the same time but the nut ended up showing up on the 26th and the strings showed up today along with the coals for my hookah which were supposed to come with the shisha I ordered which arrived on the 27th. Fucking people I tell ya.
It sucks not having both pieces to the puzzle, even more for you because having an amp without a power cord would be better than just having the power cord haha.
buying that SG tonight, it's gonna be good to finally have something other than my Fender Squier strat.... It feels weird playing the SG though, the strings feel tighter, but there are more frets on the SG than my squier.. also the strings on it currently are like 2 years old....... Can anoyne recommend some good strings? I was considering the D'addadrio (or whatever they're called) NYXL .10 but I have no clue
D'addario 10s or 9s are a good choice, I haven't tried Elixir strings but they're meant to last longer.
I heard Elixir strings feel good to play but have a tame hollow sound compared to some other strings
There's always ernies since I never had any problems with them. also rotosound
+1 rotosound
