I need to come up with something interesting to do with the old NASA Explorer, it's not getting played at all anymore. Today I taped off the back of the neck and rubbed it down with steel wool to make the lacquer less sticky. It helped a bit, but the fretboard is still sticky and probably needs cleaned. It might be cool to get a safety cover for the 3-way switch, like you see on aircraft and such. Fits the vibe.
it might be cool if "nasa" weren't upside down too [editline]1st March 2013[/editline] aside from that I think the knurled metal knobs would look more aircrafty than those
If I were to buy a gibson It would be an '84 explorer or an old school flying v.

Fuck how come every time I drink I spill beer on my guitar, this time my guitar wasn't even in my hand... My guitar is gonna smell like a brewery pretty soon.
be more careful
be more careful
Impossible when you are drunk...
well
I'm drunk as shit, 12 bottle of beer I am on now. Oh well I can't imagine beer being all that bad for a guitar.
Don't ask how much has been poured on Elvin Bishop's Red Dog. Poor ES-345.
It just adds to the sentimental value to me.
Nothing could sound close to Red Dog. That guitar's been played since Paul Butterfield was a thing.
You know as I sit here the keyboard looks like a giant blur but for some reason I can make perfect sense and type with perfection... I am probably gonna look at this tomorrow and wonder what the hell I was talking about though :downs:

It's a good experience for me, it makes me feel like I am a better player but I have yet to record myself drunk playing guitar.
Hahaa I should try that but it's late

Do you guys know anything about the Peavy Vandenbergs?
yeah anyone that starts typing all fucked up when they're drunk is just a tool because being drunk doesn't make you type worse
Yeah I can hold an intelligent conversation even tough I am wasted. I would guess that is because I have the chance to think while typing. Unlike a vocal conversation.
I'm drunk as shit, 12 bottle of beer I am on now. Oh well I can't imagine beer being all that bad for a guitar.
Remind me to not spill any Jagermeister on mine tonight :v:
yeah anyone that starts typing all fucked up when they're drunk is just a tool because being drunk doesn't make you type worse
Nnno dude its totally fkcus with yor handadweye coordinates MAN I hate that shit as well. It's one of those indicators that the person probably got "drunk" off cough syrup/vanilla extract/O'Doul's. [editline]2nd March 2013[/editline]
Do you guys know anything about the Peavy Vandenbergs?
I know that you misspelled Peavey and that I think they're ugly.
It's a good experience for me, it makes me feel like I am a better player but I have yet to record myself drunk playing guitar.
I did that at a christmas party, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as it sounds good to you.
that applies to most music
I did that at a christmas party, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as it sounds good to you.
How do I make original stuff that sounds good to me, though? That's my biggest issue so far, I haven't written any songs because I feel that everything I come up with isn't good enough. I compare it to what I like to listen to or what I like to play and it's not even in the same ball park. And of course it's not, I already know I'm nowhere near as good at composition as say Brian Wilson or Brownie McGhee, so why do I compare myself to them and how do I stop? Or, how do I get on that level to where I don't feel like everything I write is shit in comparison? Also posting under the influence is the story of my life, but I practically never misspell things. I just happen to sometimes say things that people think are dumb.
I will say that texting while pretty drunk is hard, especially with a touch screen. I honestly give up sometimes if it doesn't autocorrect it for me
I can barely use my phone's touch screen keyboard stone sober
[editline]2nd March 2013[/editline] Shit I am trying to learn the solo from Aeromancy by Dorje and I got all of it down but that little chromatic run in the middle of the solo is such a pain at that speed... Fuck my fingers hurt.
printing that picture so I can dance on it
I have a feeling he will lurk.
