I remember the day I ordered my X3 pro, and then the day it arrived I tried to do an unboxing video but I got too excited and shut the camera off so I could just play it.
I think I'll be ordering an axe fx II in 2 weeks I'll try to do a video or at least a series of pictures

Made some psychodelic metal song tuned in Drop C# (whole octave lower like an 9 string) Internalized: The farting booms come at 2:15 and it builds up to an outro riff.
I have this strange need to own a telecaster. Saw a '52 one on TV the other night and now I just really want one.
[t]http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5ort1JOIw1qigw3vo1_1280.jpg[/t] Telecaster from stephen carpenter (deftones)... mmmhhm
Not too keen on EMG's on a telecaster, prefer the look of single-coils. Rest of the guitar's nice though.
i decided to use my tele today after leaving it in its hard case for a couple of weeks or so, found its strings to have horribly rusted all over. cleaned it and it's relatively better now, but I'm still in disbelief over how the strings still oxidized despite being kept in a warm, dry environment.
When I graduate and get a steady job 1st thing im gona do is horde cash and save for an ESP custom just a custom paint job but ill prolly get the telecaster. Although the things price is so inflated its stupid I'd be tempted to settle with a production line guitar then look at getting an Axe Fx2
Am I the only one hating the axe fx2 because it's just overkill? [editline]24th June 2013[/editline] You should be doing music not dialing in distortion (and mostly only that) tones for months. Insanity.
never tried it but i see no wrong with it but the hefty priiiice

It's this little thing called individuality.
elixir acoustic strings are slick as fuck. i love it.
elixir strings suck
d'addarios for lajf
La Bella, Circle K and daddarios mr.men. [editline]24th June 2013[/editline] I actually use these strings for my ultra low tunings.
I use circle Ks for my 6 string bass tuned eadgcf an octave below standard. not a lot of people make strings thick enough for that

You guitar-only monkeys thump out something that sounds like a wet fart, we spend months making it something that can get airtime.

About to buy new strings finally. Can't decide between D'addario 60s or DR 60s, I've heard good things about DR but never tried them.
Overkill is how production works. You guitar-only monkeys thump out something that sounds like a wet fart, we spend months making it something that can get airtime.
Hey don't throw me in that direction (also guitar-only monkey can't be applied to me :v:) :( I spent time on my tones too I don't think these tons of recordings on my soundcloud sound like a wet fart, I just think the axefx is kind of an overkill and you can get far quicker results with cheaper gear. I mostly only look on these typical sevenstring.org users that buy these axefx and dial in the shittiest djent tone they can make and I just need to ask myself "why".
Well yeah but you're judging it by association with the wrong group. 70% of Sevenstring shouldn't even own extended range instruments because they just use the bottom three. The Axe-FX units are farther on up the line, first problem is motherfuckers buying 9 strings entirely so they can go BLUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
90% of djent sounds like farting to me
I tune in C# (15 semitones lower than standard) on my 6 string and I don't go djent  I actually go rock/pop/metal with my current album I am working on. Acoustic guitars n shit with low tuned distortion chords going with it. [editline]25th June 2013[/editline] Wow I am actually lower tuned than normal 4 string bass guitars, the fuck am I doing.
frustrated bass player
Maybe all the anti-drop-tuning folk are just bassists upset over being irrelevant. (jk don't hurt me)
bass is still more important than guitar in any band that isn't shit
frustrated bass player
Next to my prs baritone monster theres my 5 string bass with the lowest string at A and I play slap bass and do vocals in my band so, I am not really frustrated  I just try to make my own style and discover new sounds. [editline]25th June 2013[/editline]
bass is still more important than guitar in any band that isn't shit
There is nothing more satisfying sounding than a hearable distorted bass. (example: Karnivool - Simple boy)
elixir strings suck
D'addarios and ernie balls suck, so do any of the mainstream guitar strings. Make strings from your nipple hair, like a real man does, then we'll talk.
bass is still more important than guitar in any band that isn't shit
More important as glue or more important in mixing prominence? The former's true but the latter is as false as possible, a bass doesn't need to be particularly audible to be doing its job.
It's still amazing how much a bass can change the guitar sound in a mix. Now put an dirty distortion effect on a split bass chain (so you dont loose your clean signal) and bam it all sounds thick as fuck.
