Just bought myself a '93 Fender Strat Plus on impulse. Every guitarist needs a Strat though, and now I have one I really like :). 'Scuse the phone pictures. Matches my bedspread: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/I6Md5sO.jpg[/thumb] Schaller tuners and roller nut as stock: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3IEZnxh.jpg[/thumb] Gold lace sensor pickups stock (incredibly low noise, still got that delicious Strat sound): [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/eqgfVFp.jpg[/thumb] Only thing I'll do to this guitar Is put a tremol-no in it, just because I'm so used to fixed bridges. The trem is really nice though, and the nut seems to do its job!
I still have to get myself a strat, I have played tons and loved almost all of them but for some reason I have yet to pick one up. I am thinking one of those new lacquer coated strats fender put out, perfect out of the box. The only thing I would really change are the pickups and I am thinking of putting a Bare Knuckle Slow Hand set in. I think my next instrument purchase needs to be a bass though.

[editline]23rd July 2013[/editline] also it's nice
like any of us are even genuine musicians
ONI is doing just fine thanks... booked for two festival gigs (small festivals, very small) and we're heading into the studio as soon as I finish the click tracks................................................................................ Ok that's not really professional I guess
Anyone know where to find "offical" tablature for "Goodnight Moon" by go radio?
It's amazing how fast your tastes can change. I went from playing Tool songs yesterday to playing Dragonette and Daft Punk today.

I like to change from standard to drop D a lot (and just mess with tunings in general), so the ability to not go totally out of tune when changing one string will be appreciated :). I'll probably leave the bridge floating in drop D and just lock the tremol-no when I change tunings from that. I also imagine it will make string changes even simpler.
In anticipation of me taking guitar classes during the upcoming school year, I decided to practice on the guitars we already owned. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nykje3W.jpg[/t] This is an Ibanez that my grandpa owned before or soon after he had a stroke in 2000. For a guitar that sat in his dusty apartment for about a decade, it's in pretty good shape. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BwCpKSe.jpg[/t] This one's a Squier Stratocaster. My mom bought it for my brother around 2007-08, but my brother abandoned guitar lessons soon after. He also damaged the strap, so it slides off very easily. I'd say it's a good starter collection, considering I didn't pay for either of them.

I installed one on a floyd rose equipped charvel once and it was just an amazing thing to have. I remember when my ibanez trem was still set up to float and it was such a pain in the ass to even go to drop D.

Example: The last thing I recorded is an chill beat with violins, rhodes and some melancholic clean vocals by me. Before that I recorded an psychodelic metal song with screaming and guitars tuned lower than a 4 string bass... and just yesterday I was sitting at my keyboard playing in E Minor and singing calmly thinking "I should make an album of this". My soundcloud is basicly a mixture of alot of genres and I wonder why people follow me :v:
The best decision I made regarding the tremolo system on my Ibanez was sticking a piece of wood in the back of it.

I only have one instrument with an unblocked tremolo, and it's a bass with a kahler.
I picked a guitar up off of a friend for $150. It looks almost exactly like the KVX10 but the pick-ups aren't right, and I don't know if they were ever made in India (this one is) so I have no clue. Guys I have learned 12 bar blues and the shuffle thingy but I am still struggling to improv on rhythm even though I know 7th chords. Any songs to suggest or tips?
practice practice and practice

If that's not doable for you just practice, it all comes with time (also don't forget that you learn in your sleep so when it isn't working out as good as you wished for today then try again tomorrow, you'll be surprised)
I need more shit for the back of my guitar...

Working in PC sales, people walk in all the time not knowing when they want but when you recommend them something they don't want any of it. And then the know it all teenagers who walk in. GAH! Goosfraba, goosgraba...

Good god, Guthrie Govan as a McDonalds employee, that's hard to imagine.
Finally got my epiphone hanging on the wall, my brother's girlfriend kept knocking it over and scratching the shit out of it. Now I can sleep at night.
you can sleep at night now cause you murdered her right
Hey guys, came here because nobody on Ultimate-Guitar payed attention to my post. So I don't know if any of you have this exact setup, but perhaps you could look at it or maybe have used something similar. So I've got a Peavey Rage 258, and a Digitech RP55 (It's a multi-effect pedal). I was wondering if any of you guys who have used it have cool settings to use with it (Since it has customizable options). I've fiddled around with it, but am fairly new to having a pedal like this with my guitar, and can't really seem to get the sound I'm going for. The presets are good, but not quite what I'm looking for. The only good thing I've managed to get from it is a fairly okay sounding porn wah. If any of you guys could hook a brother up with some nice presets, especially if they have a 80s metal (Metallica, Megadeth) sound to them. Thanks in advance you guys!
