the fuck, did you use a scissor as a pick?
what no who does that i jammed my strings up against the pickups as hard as i could #punkrock
So I ended up putting EB pure nickel on my guitar, I honestly wish D'addario made pure nickel strings in my gauge set. They are just a little bit more dull than NPS but on my Ibanez they sound just right. Wouldn't put them on my epihpone though, that thing needs all the brightness it can get with the stock pickups.
fun tip: if you want to knock an acoustic out of tune, then bend a string 2.5 steps also ow fingers
Of course, it's always the goddamn G string.
actually the only string I have broken is my e-string. the 6th e-string. I play some deep songs man

buying a floor pod plus next week. new and shit. woo.
I'm slowly considering getting an electric and an amp in October for my birthday. Not sure how worth it it is. Some time I go like 'ah what's the point I have an acoustic' and other times I really want it. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Definitely get it. I don't even own an acoustic but that's because I borrow my roommate's. I mean if you really like rock and playing solos you should go for it. actually I don't see why you should not own an electric guitar.
my 6505 blew yesterday. It decreased in volume, then BOOM, smoke, fire, and death of an amp. So i opened it up, seven caps and 4 diodes are dead. Not so bad, I can replace those. The problem is and was, i don't and won't have the money for a month or two, since school starts next week.
Sweet. Any suggestions for guitar/amp?
Depends on the budget and also how much you are going to play it, what you are going to play and how long you have been playing for. A versatile beginners one would be an epiphone special ii with a marshall mg10 or something, but if you are willing to spend a bit more its worth researching into the style you play and what combos suit that.
so my local music store has about 9 acoustic guitars to choose from and they're always at least £50-60 overpriced compared to other retailers I'm not really experienced or anything, I've just been playing some stuff for hobby on my shitty plywood acoustic for a while, and I'm looking to buy something with a comfortable neck and a warm sound for around £160-200. I play shit like this most of the time, and that's the sort of sound I want from a guitar I'm hoping for something that sounds good for the price - I don't play gigs or anything, literally just for fun at home sorta thing. Anybody know any guitars that fit this description?
fingerpicking's where it's at http://vocaroo.com/i/s1AKYO9i645u what do you dudes think?

They excel in providing a middy punch without losing too much of the bass, but they're more comfortable to hold because they're smaller and you might like the sound, it's more mellow and classical guitar-like except with steel strings. Regardless though have you looked at the Natural / Naked series by Faith? Faith makes wonderful acoustic guitars, their least expensive guitars are built to the same standard of quality as their others but they're simply done in a really light satin finish that saves on the cost. They're just about £100-150 more than what you're looking to spend but I think you'll benefit greatly from spending just that little bit more on a quality guitar. Mercury is their parlor guitar, Neptune is a small jumbo, Jupiter is full jumbo, and Saturn is dreadnought. But honestly there are tons of acoustics out there from lots of different brands that will fit within your price range and most guitars by most manufacturers nowadays are great and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a good one if you just spend some time in some stores playing stuff. I'd try to talk the music store down to matching price with the others, I know that pretty much every store here in america will match prices either online or with other retailers as a company policy.

That's exactly the kind of sound I love. I'm trying to look around for these Faith guitars, found some videos of one being played. The tone's real warm, trying to imagine how it'd sound with a few DH songs. I wish I could try it out somewhere local :( There's only really one music store around here which holds up to a reputation and unfortunately they're fairly overpriced, I'm not sure if they'll be able to be swindled but it's worth a try. They just don't have the range of choice that I'd wish they have.
new favorite chord
what chord is this?
sounds like a m9 chord to me
guitar pro says it's an A7M/F# if you believe the way it names chords which by the way is oddly inconsistent
fun tip: if you want to knock an acoustic out of tune, then bend a string 2.5 steps also ow fingers
I do mass bends on my acoustic all the time, only ever broke the gbe strings that is to make sure they're stretched well enough to stay in tune

Anybody know what guitar that is? I'd like to find stuff similar to it.

You might be able to find it cheaper though. Unless you like rockabilly.
