http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_blacktop_strat_rw_fr_blk.htm I think it's just the same pickups but without the covers on them. Though I have to say, the covered pickups look sweet on the Blacktop. The uncovered ones look good as well though. If it was that much of a dealbreaker, you could always swap them for covered Duncans or something. The price of the Floyd version is a bit higher but there's different hardware needed for a Floyd compared to a vintage trem. It's a nicely hotrodded version of a Strat and it looks great. Shame there's no maple board version for the Floyd version. On a different note, I wish Fender UK sold bodies, necks and parts like they do on the US site. I would love to build myself a white Precision with a maple/maple neck, some nice passive pickups and a mirror guard. Essentially a Steve Harris Precision but without the INSANE price tag.
if it were me I'd go for the tele instead http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_blacktop_telecaster_hh_mn_bk.htm no tremolo but those are for faggots anyway
If I'm tuning my guitar to drop A tuning should I get a thicker 6th string?
If I'm tuning my guitar to drop A tuning should I get a thicker 6th string?
Unless you are an incredibly light handed player than yes, I have been able to go to at least drop C with a 10-46 set and be able to play relatively in tune. But ever since I switched to a 10-52 set I can go down to drop B and wail pretty good on the strings without too many issues. I know people can only switch out their low E with a .60 and play fine but I need all the bass strings to be a little thicker.
some dude on omegle sent me this video of his band, he's the bassist. thought it was pretty sick
I need at least 12s for standard tuning and even those feel sloppy to my gorilla hands. I use 13s on my own guitars

[editline]1st October 2013[/editline] There is also the Fender Jaguar Blacktop. http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_blacktop_jaguar_hh_rw_bk.htm
My G string is buzzing at the tuning peg, I thought it was hitting another peg, but its the peg itself buzzing, possibly, since I took the string off and put it on again, turned the other way. Should I replace the peg(s)? It's not really a problem unless I'm playing the string open.
It might just be that the bushing has come loose. Tends to happen over time, I've had it happen to bass tuning pegs.
every time i see absinthe post, i read the username as "abs in the"
I remember people keep talking about Axe FX's here so try to win one: http://www.guitarworld.com/win-axe-fx-ii-all-one-guitar-processor-signed-periphery
"signed by periphery" I love periphery but ew that means it's been taken out of the box [editline]1st October 2013[/editline]
every time i see absinthe post, i read the username as "abs in the"
send me the money and I'll change my username
"signed by periphery" I love periphery but ew that means it's been taken out of the box
Maybe they hose it down with Tinactin afterwards to remove the proglodyte fungi.
but the seal has been broken

trust me, shave it off
how embarrassing
It's actually not so bad in person. It could be worse, like some of the guys i see at college with like 5-6 hairs that actually show, looking like a basketball with some black-ass hairs sticking out But as of right now i've been growing it out a bit and shaving it, so it grows in thicker. Plus i wanted your opinions on it because i haven't be around any girl or guy in almost a month that can give me an honest opinion.
Plus i wanted your opinions on it because i haven't be around any girl or guy in almost a month that can give me an honest opinion.
trust me if the beard comes off you won't have that problem anymore
You kinda look like a child with fake facial hair attached, it's like oh noh.
Well I did shave it off. I don't have anything but stubble now. I haven't had it for a few weeks now.
that beard literally made me feel ill
My seven string guitar never stays in tune properly and it's really irritating.

No really, I want to cut this thing off but my straight razor is dull. I gotta go to school looking like this... I ended up with brown hair, black eyebrows, and a red/brown beard...

[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
My seven string guitar never stays in tune properly and it's really irritating.
Maybe it's the tuners in your headstock being loose?
Eh, I can't be arsed to get all the parts to rewire my les paul, how much would it normally cost a store to do it for me? I don't want to get ripped off.
