I once dropped lube on the neck of my guitar, don't ask how.
How?
How?
The neck wasn't fast enough for me... but jokes aside, the packaging was cracked and it just went on the neck, backside of it, luckily not on the strings, the unfortunate example of keeping your guitar stand next to bed, I think I even managed to kick it once during my sleep so it fell down with loud bang.
i lube up the strings when i play

WD40 all over the neck
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
WD40 is not a lubricant it is a penetrant
I bet CLP works really good on strings but I imagine it would be awful on the wood
i lube up the strings when i play
Well, I finally broke down and got a new amp today. Bought a used Crate GTD 120 for about $200.

I used to have a Crate GTD120, got it about 5 years ago for $200 as well.

I used the shit out of it until I got my Line 6 POD X3 Pro and then it was mainly a stand for that until I sold it.

gotta learn some of this shit
Considering this will be the third amp I've ever owned after getting rid of a shitty Peavey 15w (no joke or pun intended, Rapist) and this pos: [t]http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w72/mastoner20/image_zpsbfc40354.jpeg[/t]
I think I'm quite happy with the decision. I've always loved the Crate FW120, and there is no shop around my town that has them for less than $300 any more, so I went with the GTD after playing it for about ten minutes. I was also looking at a Mesa Boogie for $400, but I just couldn't bring myself to drop that much cash on something I don't use enough.

Normally I'm weary as fuck of solid state amps, but this one fucking pwns hard.
Model T or bust.
Just ordered my Fender Blacktop Stratocaster in red, I realized that black one looked really dull and went with red one instead, and it simply looks sexy in red, I mean compare for yourself, black isn't bad either but red one simply draws more attention and is more visually pleasing to look at.
The black one

and the red one here

Big thanks to @dcalde78 for this suggestion for guitar type, I was instantly sold on it.
Red looks funkier! I want one :v:
What do you guys think of rocksmith?
it's fun if you don't go in expecting it to be a teaching tool. It doesn't really show you how to play, but rather how to recreate a few songs with none of your own soul
I'm already messing around the tab/whatever it's showing me to play, much more fun like that :v:
Takes a bit of getting used to.
also i'm rather shit so :v:

It's better than guitar hero, to be fair though I hated the fan base for guitar hero more than the game. Fucking hated when kids would be like "Oh you play guitar? Yeah I play guitar hero, that pretty much makes me as good as you."
At least with rocksmith you will come out knowing a few songs.

that can not be true jesus

rocksmith does not have nearly enough clapton in it
Rocksmith is kind of like an interactive tab, I guess. Personally I just don't see the point in learning things by tabs, you should at least learn the rudiments of music theory and start from there. Because that's really all you need to start building your chord vocabulary which is what will allow you to play songs just from hearing them rather than having to learn things by playing a tab that you see on the screen or by mindlessly memorizing the tab. Theory is an instruction manual on how to make music in general, but a tab is only an instruction manual on how to play one song. Obviously one is tremendously more valuable to your musical growth than the other.
learning to play the right intervals regardless of the key is the most important thing to sounding good on an instrument, and it's also something no tab will ever teach you. a tab will only instruct you on how to play the recording note for note without any understanding of how the system works and how to make it work for you in a different context.
