Can somebody recommend me a site where I can easily find pentatonic and major scales and all that shit? I'd really like to look into it more because it sounds p good if you can do it well.

I typically go to the images section and just pull up the E maj/minor scales in whichever pattern I'm looking for and look at the diagrams. But that's just me.

My dad is selling an Ampeg SVT-4 pro, anyone interested, or know anyone who's interested?

pick a song, learn the chords, play the rhythm part. don't worry about speed, worry about consistency, accuracy, and relative tempo. If you get bored, pick a new song.
You could also sit and strum random chord progressions along with a metronome, but actually playing a song gives you the gratification of playing something you enjoy hearing while at the same time serves as fantastic practice for keeping a consistent rhythm in a musical context.
I tried turning a 59' Bassman up halfway to see if I could get any tube action but all I did was shake the house.

Where the hell have you been?
I second said notion. Haven't seen you on either of our mutual threads in a while.

Lol yeah that's how it is when you're trying to saturate two 6L6-GTs. Best bet for getting tube distortion out of that amp at a reasonable volume is to push the preamp stage by channel jumping the dark and light channels (running the preamp stage at full instead of just half) and running a clean boost into it, or an overdrive pedal with the gain turned down and the level cranked (so it works as a clean boost).
The 5F6-A Bassman circuit is designed to be ultra clean and shit so that's just how it is, even with my silvertone 1483 which is a direct copy of the 5F6-A Bassman, the only way I can get it to distort at a somewhat reasonable volume is to completely overload the front end of it like I said, and even then the volume isn't really reasonable because I have to go into another room to play otherwise I'd have some hearing damage.
My computer was dead and I forgot my fp password. I worked at camp all summer and now I have the dosh for amplifiers and guitar stuff.
I did turn the volume on my hearing aides all the way down, and made sure no one was in the house. I already have the two channels jumpered, sounds awesome with the Bloody Murder.

Yeah sure... Who needs windows in their house?

I think if the windows in my house broke, it would be better. I don't need living neighbors, right?

Nah, fuck 'em.
Lately I've been running it in tandem with my Sunn through the Bloody Murder and a Boss CH-1. I can go from jazz to Priest in a second.

Fuckers stole my bike
If you already have the two channels jumpered and you're still getting too much volume and not enough distortion, I recommend like I said find a big clean boost pedal like a bbe boosta grande or even one of those EQ pedals, they can be used as a clean boost. Or an overdrive pedal that can go clean and provide a level boost. I even have a standard Boss CE2 chorus pedal that can do this, you just turn down the chorus effect mix and use the level control to make the dry signal louder. Find something that can output a ton of volume to slam the front of the amp. If you saturate the preamp section you're going to get the distortion you want anyway and it will also cause the power section to saturate sooner as well simply because it's taking in an already maxed out signal.
And be sure you're using your hottest pickups, of course. It starts there, and it'll take a lot more clean boost to get a single coil to be loud enough to push the front end of the amp than it would to make a humbucker do the same.
So I'd use my RG with the Evo set and the Bloody Murder with the volume all the way up? TS clones do a decent clean boost, I've used it before as one. Thanks guys.
That guitar though, is something I can't explain. I fix one problem with it, but it gets another the next day. I want to send it to a pro because it's basically my girlfriend and I want her to be perfect.
How badly do you need locking nuts for floyd rose tremolo guitars to replace the strings? I'm picking up a Jackson I haven't touched in a while but I'm missing one of the locking nuts and I really want to play it now. Can I just replace the strings anyway?
I guess if you dont use the floyd rose it wont go out of tune, might be a bitch to tune tho, also depends on the quality of the floyd rose... my fr special with one block unlocked goes out of tune after a while without using the trem a lot and my friend has a dean razorback with a floyd rose original, the low e string block is always unlocked to go to drop D and even with a shitload of trem abuse while unlocked it doesnt go out of tune. also yes you can replace the strings, worse part might be the tuning, and maybe having to retune it but it'll play fine, else if the floyd rose is recessed you can stick a 9v battery under the string locking screws, holds it perfectly leveled with the guitar body
man jake's new signature ibanez looks hella nice

Could you guys please suggest me some good stratocaster guitars for 300 euros? I am a blues player and I am also poor.

Sounds like you need to hit up a Mississippi Delta pawn shop.

When I search for "stratocaster guitars" on Google, it comes up with a lot of Fender which doesn't really surprise me. It might be your best bet if you're looking to get something within that price range but I'm sure you could do better if you searched a bit more.
