let's be honest everyone involved with that video is a tool
To be honest i like the outro. That's it.
so does everyone that's ever put a video on vimeo
i want to see you cry bitch
Suggest me a outspaced dreamy open tuning. I want to tune to something really outstanding for my next song, lets say I am currently in EADGBE (bass octave, one octave lower than normal guitars) with my baritone. DADGAD is the only tuning I ever tried and I love it but it's hard to add vocals to dadgad for me.
No I wont tune to FAGDAD.
DD#A#D#GG
To be honest, about the only open tuning I use is Open D5 (DADADD). Sometimes I mix it up by going half a step down, but not that often.

I might try that since I am in D# (half step lower than standard tuning but whole octave down) that means D#A#D#A#D#D#, this could turn out interesting.
It's pretty good for Dm (obviously), but I found that writing in Em and F still doesn't sound to bad in it. For me, octaves were the hardest part about the tuning to get used to since I rely on them so much for transitions when in drop-Db, but it's really easy to transition from the octaves on the 1st and 3rd strings to the 2nd and 4th, since you're just moving your fingers up. Also bar chords are just a lot fuller sounding if you do all six strings.
CGDGCD is such a nice tuning
Well I came up with a new 8 string tuning!

holy shit I just tune to BAGDAD
i play in DGDF#AD a lot its a pretty fun tuning
never picked up an instrument or learned anything about music until now
starting with the guitar. i've got the jargon down and a few chords down, just having trouble with finger placement and buzzing which i'm fixing. friend of mine has been playing for 6 years but he sounds like he's been playing since he was born, it's insane
any recommendations for a good beginner acoustic? (something I can use when I get good as well haha)
practice every waking moment
To a metronome.
Or else you might just become a drummer

That's just mean.

or even worse still
a bass player
I hate floyd roses with a passion because of my 6 string. It's not so bad, but i feel like i'd rather have a string through instead. I had that same guitar i'm pretty sure a while back and i just got tired and sold it.

Figured to put my guitar hero skills to the test learning this song, since it seems like the highest fret they go to is 7.
As an opine, i would recommend at least learning in D if you want the best of both worlds. I did that, and i found it a lot more helpful in the long run for songs i play.
Singer's face is very annoying and punchable...also this whole crab thing they do by the end.

He seemed like a really cool dude in the SYWH podcast he was in.

This chord. Who can actually stretch their hand like this on the spot.

I don't care if he works in a soup kitchen and donates all his money to the make-a-wish foundation
his band sucks

what chord is it? There may be an easier way to do it.

G minor 7.
G minor 7.
Two fingers brah. Third fret barred, fifth fretted string two frets up.
No need to do it as an open chord, the barred chord sounds better anyway and you can use it in any position to get the minor of any key.

what thats super easy as a chord and my hands are quite smaller than yours
your hand is completely in the wrong position, please stop playing guitar and learn how to stretch your hands ffs

most boring voicing of Gm7 ever

Psh, whatever.
We're playing in C until I say so.
You could try learning Snowblind by Black Sabbath, it has mixture of power chords, basic chords like C and D, some scales too, song is played in C# but you can easily play it even in Standard E tuning, it might be slightly difficult at first but it's worth it.
In standard E on the E string I would just have to go 3 frets lower right? Cause C# is 1 whole step and a half step below E.

Higher. If you're in standard EADGBe, your 9th fret would be a C# on your 1st and 6th strings. (2 octaves higher on your high string than your lower)
why would he go higher
I think I misunderstood the question. I thought he was trying to find the C# note on the E strings.
-poor advice-
