The only good replacement for Steve Clark is Taylor Swift, obviously.

Could you guys please tell me where I can use the mixolydian scales in guitar playing? I started learning it because I am into funky music but I am wondering what else I can play!

It's not even hard, though. It just takes practice to get the muscle memory for the arpeggio patterns.

I tremolo pick through it like fire, hehe.
Man, Thomann are really upgrading their Harley Benton shit. This Explorer is pretty awesome looking, straight up 80's. Dual action truss rod, "HBX" active pickups which I can only assume are crappy EMG clones but they might be good. Licensed Floyd, so that might be dodgy too but it could be okay as well.

Now I wish they'd make a sweet superstrat in the same series of guitars.
I saw a strat in a charity shop recently, it's the same model as one I have looked like someone'd modded it to hell and back (all black, iirc it had a set of humbuckers and I THINK only two pots but probably not), I feel compelled to try and get it if I can.
this video came out in 2005
notice the fireman prototype in the bottom right corner of the screen

sounds like guitar pro RSE
yeah it sounds awful but I think it's interesting that it took ibanez like 5 years to get a production model of the fireman created
I still want one of those, they have one at Guitar Center used right now for $700. Plays pretty good and the only thing wrong with it is a good sized chip out of the bottom horn. A little bit of finish work and you would never know it is there. No other damage as far as I can tell, it doesn't even have any swirl marks like it was used for a while. I think someone played it a few times and at some point it took a drop and then they sold it.
Guitar tip of the day, if you run out of shielded 4 conductor wire to wire a pickup or other circuit. A Sony PS3 charge cable does the trick nicely. And if you're like me you have a ton of them laying around.
looking up teenage girls who shred harder than me isn't exactly great for my confidence

Chapman ML1 won best budget guitar 2013 by musicradar
I just realized that when I'm playing a speed exercise my right hand has been tensing up the slightest amount. Now that I've stopped that my wrist has completely stopped hurting at all after doing them for a while. Such a huge difference. Its weird. I know tensing up is the worst thing possible if you want to play remotely fast yet I still do it while playing guitar.

You're nutty...
So getting a 2mm zinc pick to complement my 0.8mm steel and 1.2mm bronze- this shit is equally unnecessary, and feels equally fun to fuck around with. Specifically because instead of producing coin-like sounds, it's dull as hell and slides all over the place. Like playing with ice would feel, I imagine.

Hook a brotha up! I broke my nut at the low E, still playable, but not for long, I want to replace it myself because the local guitar shop can't even fix my electronics.
Does anyone have any place where I could learn some licks for improvising? I really want to be better at improv. I mostly do blues but anything is fine, expanding horizions, etc. Been playing 4 months.
check out some good zeppelin tabs
Anything with Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, or Jeff Beck. Albert King,Albert Collins, Luther Allison, Buddy Guy are all amazing. Be wary that both Alberts play in different tunings and upside-down or with a capo.
Try not to use the cliche licks too much though.
Gonna go to GC today. The website said it has the DSL40c and the new destroyers. Gonna check them out.

I also play upside-down, like the king!

Also, I do have my lovely cheap Epiphone Les Paul Special II here, but I've been only playing for 4 months so I think I won't buy a new guitar yet. How are the Epiphone ES335s and 339s though? I love the sound of a hollowbody and thanks to the body shape I can play up high much easier.
throw some bach in there too there's a couple phrases of his that sound pretty cool on guitar

jesus fuck that stache

Actually didn't know that about major pentatonic, helped a lot, woo!
I've been playing for 4 months now. I've got 300 eur laying around and I'm considering buying an ES.
I play upside down so my good ol loved cheapo Epiphone LP special II isn't letting me play up high comfortably.
I can probably put together a bit more money.
Bought the DSL40c. Got the price down down 70 dollars too.
I tried the destroyer reissue. I had some fun with it but it wasn't for me. Maybe with a much better set up. I also tried the RG3XXV. That thing is practically perfect. Smooth unfinished neck, perfect pickups. Only complaint is the frets aren't finished in a way that they aren't pokey. That's the next thing I buy.
Dad found an RG770 reissue and it was awesome. The frets were too big to be comfortable for me though.
Would it be safe to play a bass through my Crate GT212? the speakers are real bassy as-is
