I feel dumb for asking this and i probably should, but on tab, when notes are in parenthesis (i.e. (15)) what exactly does that mean? I knew this at one point but I haven't played in a long time.
This 59 just came through the shop. All orig, it's worth twice that of my house... I have yet to run across a '59 that hasn't faded.
Hit up craigslist for some crazy deals. This dude in my town is selling a Schecter Hellraiser for $150 like whaaat

I'm going insane waiting for the local GC to get my amp shipped in. I really want to play it, but I know I'll have to break it in quite a bit. Anyone have tips on new tubes and speakers?

I've switched to Tortex TIII guitar picks.
Christ did that thing never leave the case? I have yet to run across a '59 that hasn't faded.
Tell me about it!
hold your guitar up to a mirror and say bloody mary 3 times
I found that placing guitar on pentagram works better, draw star in circle and put lit candles around it.
will do this when i buy a new guitar edventually
So i've started to play guitar with crazy delay effects and beatbox at the same time, I need to record this shit as soon as possible and put that into my album. [editline]20th November 2013[/editline] Also started playing acoustic guitar with hands and keyboard with feet at the same time, combining instruments is fun as heck.
that's a somewhat interesting proposition if y'all could have a ridiculous collection of any one model of guitar ie strats les pauls SGs etc what would it be
I'd definitely have an SG collection. Gotta have the whole first production year set which would include the 1961 Les Paul Standard, Junior, Special, and the SG shaped Melody Makers that came a couple years later. The prize piece of such an SG collection though would have to be the Neck-Thru SG. They only made it for one year and it was here recently, but it's so rare that there's only one picture of one on Google. You can easily find tons of examples of normal early production year SGs all over the internet and in any decent reputable shop, but next to nobody has one of those neck-thru SGs. I believe the SG should have always been a neck-thru guitar, but it's such an expensive method of manufacturing guitars so I can understand why they opted for standard set necks. Had they gone with neck-thru from the beginning though, the early SGs wouldn't have had so many breakage problems at the neck heel so there'd be more surviving examples of those too, but it is what it is.
Les Paul actually designed the SG to be neck through, and Gibson didn't do it.
I've switched to Tortex TIII guitar picks.
Jazz III master race
jazz IIIs are good for fast stuff but you can't beat a JD nylon .73mm
jazz IIIs are good for fast stuff but you can't beat a JD nylon .73mm
That was the old pick I used, except it was the max grip rather than the standard.
Jazz III master race
The TIII is a fusion of the standard Tortexes and the Jazz IIIs.
I have to bump it down to .60mm if I'm getting a little too hyped playing my eight string or else the lower strings get picked way too sharp
I have a small fender frontman 10g Amp I play at home and a big vox on a farm where I can crank it without pissing off the neighbors. I really like the clean tone of the fender amp and my Vox only pumps out dirty tones, do bigger fender amps like a twin reverb or something pump out good clean tones as well?

I mostly play through a pedal and a mixer board nearly all of the time so it feels really good when I actually plug into an amp. :v:

My dad will be getting a new company car at the end of the year. It has an aux in! [editline]21st November 2013[/editline] also can a headphone out act as an output jack?

Or at least mine does.
