Got a set of GHS 11-50s for 3.99, that should be nice and chunky in standard
You know that feeling when tuning high e string to standard tuning position, you can feel the cold sweat running down your back, hands start to shake, legs cross it's like you become possessed then it clicks into place and tuned just fine, good day. First time I snapped high e string in my very newbie days resulted in me getting hit with it in the face and having red mark across, but it was on acoustic guitar.
I'm going to crank my cheap ass 15w peavey amp at midnight, and play the 21st fret of the high E and bend it up killing everyone
i'm going to crank my only slightly less cheap ass 100w Marshall, tremolo pick the 24th fret and bend it up until it SNAPS in a tightly-packed HIGHRISE COMMUNITY lets take this to the next level
I'm going to PINCH HARMONIC!
I'm just gonna hold the guitar by the whammy bar.
hi herman li

I am quite pleased with my newest acquisition.
Is that one of the new models? And what kind of Floyd does it have on it? I'd assume a licensed.
I promised myself I'd make a little song before I went to sleep on new years eve: here you go something a slightly intoxicated person made and it's slow and gloomy and meh :v:
the only time I've ever broken a high e was tuning down
I'm guessing it broke around the saddle, did it? Also happy new year everyone, I'm still a bit drunk, it was so hard to write this post, I had to check so many times if I wrote words correctly.
I was sick with a cold yesterday and it was impossible to play but 12 beers later I was able to play guitar.
Happy new year guitar gods! I just decided to record distorted slap bass in the middle of the night quite tipsy and this shit came out what the hell am I doing with life, good night.
Only time I broke a high e was when I picked up the guitar to keep my fingers busy for a second and played sloppy shit. I must suck or something.

Anybody know where I can order some 0.46mm picks in the UK without having to pay like £5 for delivery? :v:
Decided (right now) to properly practice and do finger exercises instead of just messing about when I play :v: messing about stays too, but still.
I really don't understand how thin picks work. I use the Brain Nylon 1.14mm and they have the right amount of flex to be great. I'm pretty sure I'd snap a thin pick or wear it out in ten minutes.

But that's just what I know about it. I think the best way is if you plug in the headphones to your amp and try different picks to see what they allow you to do. I like thicker picks when playing chords in clean setting but thinner ones with overdrive and distortion.
Guuuuys, I have a problem. The tuner for my D string on my acoustic guitar broke off. Is it possible that I can do a repair myself without it being that much of a hassle? I mean all it looks like I'm doing is unscrewing the frond and rear of the tuner..

It chipped off yeah. I know I need acoustic tuning knobs, but does it matter what brand I buy them for?
