I love slippery slope arguments. They're always good for a laugh
It will never truly work. If it was just about the rights that come with marriage, they could push for some sort of civil union. That's not enough, though; they want to force acceptance of a new, un-traditional definition of marriage on people, thus devaluing the entire meaning of the institution. Where's the limit, if it's between a man and a man or a woman and a woman? Who's to say people won't start trying to marry their dog, their cat, a frog they found in the pond one morning, or a drawing they really like?
extreme examples are flawed arguments [editline]12:35PM[/editline]
You need to just get the fuck out and stop ranting. Seriously you are overstepping your retarded-Canadian bounds. You bash the US so much, that we all realize you have never visited here, and we realize you want to live here.
hahahha that's not even an argument

Eventually, it'll be devalued so much that there will be no point to it at all. Better to leave it as it is.
You know, there's a HUGE difference between two guys/girls marrying each other and someone marrying a dog.
Divorce is at it's highest rate, married couples stay together for shorter amounts of time, celebrities marry and divorce seemingly every month. Marriage is a joke. What exactly about letting homosexual couples marry could 'devalue' it? If anything it can make the situation better.
Oh, the evil republicans. It's always their fault, and they're always the only ones to oppose social progress...that's why so many liberals happen to be in the tea party movement. Those evil republicans must be responsible. BS lie and hatemongering. You're being almost as bad as the people you disagree with. This logic doesn't work. This would be akin to saying that every Christian in America would begin professing Buddhism simply because they didn't want to be grouped into the same category as Westboro. It would also be a very misinformed guess. Try again. It will never truly work. If it was just about the rights that come with marriage, they could push for some sort of civil union. Just legalize that shit. Other countries have and we're doing fine.
One thing you have to admire about the Westboro church is that they are at least honest about their hatred.
no, they hide behind schizophrenic self-justification and loathing of all contents of life itself. they're not honest unless they ARE god. they tell us god hates a bunch of shit when it is in fact their granddad who hates it. they're the biggest bunch of liars the world has seen. no contest. [editline]02:58AM[/editline]
I visited most of Europe and I felt the want to kill myself when I was there because the climate, people, and culture are so depressing compared to the US.
i visited the US once... there were 13 murders less than a mile from my hotel over 3 nights. shit was boring and everyone in the church i visited seemed to read the bible as if it was science. safe to say, bad impression and "go fucking home" was written all over it. i went to school too, and i saw the worst shit ever. in just one lesson i discovered that, 90% of a class has no idea how to eat healthy, health class (or whatever) was taught with a creationism friendly angle. (that's OK though, but) it was retarded how much fact was withheld to keep up an illusion that SHOULD be a matter of personal faith. deceptive church system much? on-topic: it WILL happen some day. it's just a matter of time. i know this is far out. but i hope it gets illegal to be misinformed, deny proven truth and talk as if you're right... although i may just have done that just now.....
Oh Glenn Beck, you so silly. The dolls positively make the video.
That's fucking hilarious :v:
Y'know, ignoring the potential of Christian extremists turning into terrorists if gay marriage was legalized, it definitely would have positive effects on your nation (not as many pregnancies/baby booms, an increasing amount of understanding and tolerance that grows gradually as generations pass, etc). That is unless WBC acquires control of an armory and/or atomic explosives, which is highly unlikely.
guys don't get pregnant bro
