I went to Hawaii for a week. My aunt and uncle lived there, he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. I have to say it rained one night when we were there, brought out massive slugs, but otherwise was a beautiful place.

i've been to Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui. Hawaii was definitely my least favorite. Most of the island is just volcanic rock and not very scenic at all. Kauai and Maui were very nice, though. Except when goddamn seals would get on the beach and they'd close off the area.

The tourist part of Hawaii isn't so bad, it's the good part that everyone loves. The rest of it is a shithole.

I've gone to Hawaii twice. I went to Maui. I had no of the problems that you mentioned. The locals were actually quite nice. It didn't even rain once when I was there. It was only windy for one day. Which island do you live on?
Also, last time I was there, the taxes were awesome compared to where I live. It was only 4% when I bought a watch. It's like god damn 11% here.
It isn't any different here in the Bahamas, besides the rain part, we don't get a lot of rain. There's ghettos everywhere though, one of the ghetto places is even called "The Mud". Haitians have literally taken over my island, if the police were to try to get rid of them, there would be an army of machete and rifle wielding voodoo guys coming back at them, not joking one bit. Plus our police men drink and drive without seat belts so they aren't much help.
