A lot of people in this thread don't seem to understand the point of this. As an imitation guitar, it's crap. As a synth, it's alright. But when used as a midi controller this thing will be amazing and I am seriously considering getting one...

Isn't is supposed to be controlled by the MIDI, instead of doing the controlling?

It's a midi controller. You can control things like Ableton live with it.

No. The guitar is controlling(for example) a synth inside Ableton Live.
