Back, updating roster shortly xD. I'm trying to assign parts of the sheet music based on who plays what instrument, which is causing a problem because it might not sound right with the final result. [editline]08:42PM[/editline]
Composer: RidingKeys Bass Guitar: Blah360,Tezzanator92 Guitar: Blah360 Guitar 2: Ghuh Tuba: Funcoot Flute, Violin and Guitar: kitthehacker Trombone: Ian D Drum Kit: YSNP Piano: Z3r0747 Viola:Snuwoods Drums/Guitar:DustBusta Trombone:Zacharias Guitar/Bass:Iskuri
[editline]08:46PM[/editline] Quick question: I Might just not use all of the instruments here and instead just have drums, bass, Trombone, piano, and flute. Any objections to this? [editline]08:47PM[/editline] Let me clarify, just for this song.
The Battlefield song?
It's basically FP Band
Kicking a tuba out of the orchestra? I mock the FP orchestra.
Kicking a tuba out of the orchestra? Woo I am on the musicians list.
You're going to have to decide which bassist, which drummer, etc.. or have multiple people record the same parts and figure out whose performance you'd rather use.
Or have more than one person per part...
Or have more than one person per part...
Or that, depends on how the sheet music's written, I guess. Or... yeah, I guess it's possible either way.
I will play alto sax can you get me sheet music and I have good recording software.
Sorry for the wait. FPC LOOP A is to be shared by the woodwinds, brass, and piano. The rest are noted as what instruments in the .not file http://filebeam.com/02d3d8e27c51412aa9c535bc8071e136 [editline]01:14AM[/editline]
Sorry for the wait. Learning the bass part. Almost nailed it at 62% speed. (Onto 80% speed now) If indeed you intend this to be at 158Bpm. The only problem I found is it was SEVERLY out of the range of even a 5 string Bass guitar... So I am trying to work around that without loosing it's low end feel. Update: almost got it at 100%, Just cleaning up the passing notes between chord changes, Especially that passing C between the BbM7 and the Am7 (I think that's the chords, but it doesn't matter I'm just playing what I am reading.) [editline]04:18PM[/editline] As Much as I think this won't happen, I really hope it does because A cameo Video of us all playing this would look really cool.
Any reason we need to use Notation? If you're using Notation, wouldn't it be just as easy to upload a MIDI file? It looks just as good in TuxGuitar (I exported/imported MIDI) and I know someone said they have GuitarPro, so I don't honestly see the point in using trialware.. Can we get a definition of the speed, too? The file says 160BPM, Tezz said 158.. Andddd I'd like to know how much time you expect to give us before you want submissions. Edit: For the record, I'm going to assume that the drums at this speed aren't humanly possible to play exactly as transcribed. The hihat's way too fast for one handing (for me, at least, maybe someone else is a beast at this sort of deal) but you want some side/snare/side triplets while the hihat's going on.. really isn't going to happen. It can be adapted to sound just as well, but if you're looking for Zappa-style precision to the written music...
My bad, It was 160Bpm... The program is a bit silly in it's display.
I've actually got the drums part already incase our drummers dont want to play, so that's no worry. Also, use all the time you need guys, I don't have any set times, just submit them when your ready.
Name:Airdoo Instrument:Violin Years of experience: 6 I confirm I have a webcam/audio recording software: Y Probably be booted out by Pyrofiliac, since he is better than me by a long shot What program is needed to open a .not file?
I might upload a .midi anyways so notation wouldn't be needed anymore.
Edit: Nevermind, so I guess I only do the FPC Loop A part? [editline]07:03PM[/editline] Also, can I record the individual sections instead of the whole thing in one go?
I might do the drums in the next few days, like I said, it just isn't going to be hit for hit according to the sheet music.. no way I can do that as a human being. It'll definitely be the same beat and the same speed, so it shouldn't matter, but yeah. I'll definitely try. I also might wait until I move my electronic kit closer to my computer. My netbook's sound card isn't capable of handling it at a decent enough quality, so I'll need to use my desktop for recording from the drum module unless I get a MIDI cord in the next few days.

What sort of format are you wanting in it, I can record to practically anything but I'd rather get it right first time round :p Heh, I had to tune my bass to C#, A, C#, G To get those low notes on the last chord unless I play at the 11th (one octave higher than written when transposed within range) o.o
1. Yes it is possible, people have been doing it for ages. 2. It will matter.
Er. Do you drum? I'm sorry, but I don't see any hihat strokes and then side/snare/side triplets without missing any hihat in that video at all. And saying "It will matter." is a little out of line since you have no idea as to how I intend to modify it. Don't insult my intelligence, I know what a drum roll is.

What exactly do I play? (I'm guitar) The sheet music doesn't seem to include every part I hear in the actual song. There is one part I imagine could be guitar but I don't see anything on the music. And it doesn't sound in the right key :P
No guitar part for this song, but there is electric bass parts.
Instrument alto saxophone Years played 4 Webcam or recording software yes. So am I in I just need the sheet music.
Instrument alto saxophone Years played 4 Webcam or recording software yes. So am I in I just need the sheet music.
Use the midi file he posted and import it into something that translates it to sheet music.
