Is it possible for me to donate to the cause of helping Japan through my phone somewhere, some number or something? I have about 200 euros that I have stacked up on it and I never use it.
I think we should be able to upload our own pictures for the cranes to be made of.
How about turtles?

Japan would prefer some metal cranes to rebuild their towns
I saved up to 700 bucks for a new gaming PC since the one I got is horrible. But instead I donated it to Japan. I guess helping them is far more important then video games.
I remember some book about a girl from Hiroshima who got Leukemia after the Atom bomb and made like 722 paper cranes before she died. The other kids in her class made the remaining 278 and buried them with her.

Nevermind found it.
I just donated £2, I hope it helps.
How is a load of origami going to help people get dragged out of collapsed buildings?
There, just donated £60 to the Red Cross.

That is an amazing thing to do!

If you bothered to read the fucking post, you'd realise that you pay to make the origami... and said payment goes directly to helping Japan.
This reminds me of when I read Barefoot Gen (Amazing graphic novel about the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I recommend you read it whether or not you like comics). The relatives of one of the families in the book made a belt with a thousand stitches and gave it to their older brother for good luck when he went off to war.

Because sitting there doing nothing won't help.
I wish I had a means of donating, and it were in US dollars.
I really like this idea.
As opposed to donating $20 of someone else's money?
Hey, it happens. :smug:
Well Clunj, what's a decent pint in YOUR eyes?
One thats filled to the top of the fucking glass. So many clubs I know of seem to believe that a pint is simply the glass is served in, as opposed to the measure within that glass.
I haven't folded cranes in ages, I should try this sometime.
I think me and a friend folded close to 400 cranes a few years ago, before we forgot about it. It seriously got boring, and my hands were starting to ache.
They keep adding more artists, there are some pretty awesome new patterns up.
Donated £252 for the cause.

£2, that's one less pint on your next night out. Do your part.

You mean 2/3 of a pint less.
Beer's expensive over here :smith:
My paper crane may look like ass, but it's the best $50 I've ever spent on ass.

Nice thought, but stupid, as $700 is going to impact a country that has millions of dollars worth of damage and their annual GDP is what? $4.308 trillion (3rd richest in the world) that's what?
$4,000,000,000,000 with your measly $700 dollars helping them, not also to mention the other MEDCs in the planet giving them aid.
