I see why you're so upset, I would be too. What did you model? a chair? I told everyone I needed characters modeled, I mean we can only have so many lamps and dressers. Don't kid yourself, there was no inspired team who kept creating content with the absence of their leader until their beloved website went down. There were a few good members, and a few bad. Ultimately interests wained. Things died long before I stopped checking the forums daily. First of all I don't make a thread about every project I start. I've got a few apps in the App Store, so I also wouldn't say I don't finish anything. How about the proxy script I posted about last week? With a workable demo, 17,000 lines of C and 23k lines of PHP written I think I'm well on my way. I'll be glad to prove you wrong.

not gonna happen mate, you need a full team, all with experience(including you) who are committed to the game in the long run Plus you'd get sued for using the Counter strike name and any materials you take from CS People who say it'll take a month are nut jobs, for a good game you'll need at least a year.

I bet i could make every single texture and menu in counter-strike in 2 minutes! Really you just started this thing and you expect a shooter game in a few days that probably was not even all of the textures and models.

I'm not complaining though, their games are very faithful to the originals
I feel bad for the OP. Ambitious, probably nice fellow, but in for a shitstorm.
Why is everyone giving the OP such a hard time, he's just looking to do a small project and everyone is flipping out like if it fails the world will end like a Mayan calendar .

There's quite a bit of good Ipod Touch FPS apps. NOVA, Modern Combat 2, and Battlefield 2. They're all really top-notch for being Ipod Apps. Like I've stated previously I don't plan to call it counter-strike or have it be a direct clone of counter-strike. It'll just be a simple FPS with rounds and a money system, I simply said counter-strike to illustrate the idea because everyone is familiar with that game.
I can do a lot of things, but how much money have you made so far? and how much will I get?
All these trolls and haters need to :frog:. I swear you people need to start following the rules, clearly only constructive criticism is allowed. Imo OP has a clear understand of what he is doing, so i say go for it and have at it. Sell if for 1-2 dollars, and let at it. If Angry Birds could make the most money on a game app, im sure a CS-like FPS app would make some handsome money as well.

If the idea of how this game is going to play is counterstrike then touch-screen controls just aren't good enough for something that plays competitively.
