Oh wait, that may not be wide enough.
Nice ideas, but what would i fire them at?
Pens at the sky, Battery at a wall.
A pringles tube, take the lid off and put the top in first, then make a cone out of paper for the bottom for a little more aero dynamics. Hell, maybe add a few fins.
The pringles tube couldn't go in the barrel, it could go around the outside of the barrel though perhaps? i really like this idea.
I'll update the OP soon with a list of things i will fire, but i need more suggestions on what to fire at. I want to fire something at a garden gnome
Batteries at a wall of fire please. And pritt sticks, who cares if they dont stick to anything they hurt even at a speed of about 5mph. Shoot em at your ol' mum.
Candy!
Try to find a brick that will fit.
Pens at the sky would be a useless video, it will fire them too fast so you won't see anything
A rock.
Nice ideas, but what would i fire them at?
I would like to see what they look like if they smashed against a brick wall

This would easily work.

Ah good call.
Make a wooden carving of a 40mm grenade!
A sheaf of wooden barbeque sticks, maybe? Just support them in the back by putting them in some kind of tube or tying string around them.
The balloon will just explode in the barrel.
Not if you stuff it full of paper first :buddy:
Do you have any glass marbles?
Shoot barbeque sauce at farm animals.
It works best with things that are a tight fit. Things like blu tack are good because you can mould them to fit perfectly.
Updated OP with chosen ammo so far.
What shall i fire it all at? I need more variety of targets!
Find one of those half length pringles cans, get a shitload of firecrackers. drill a hole in the lid of the pringles can, eat pringles, put in firecrackers with the wick going out previously drilled hole, lite, fire and watch the fire.
A cat
Pritt Stick, out of the container of course.
Oh it's been said. Great minds think alike I suppose.
You need a can, cut one end off. Put a plastic bag into it, and pour in petrol. tie the bad. On the other end of the can attatch quite a big bit of steel wool. Load it steel wool first, and enjoy your incendiary round.
I've done this before and it works.

If you want a tight fit, use a paper towel, wrapping things works great on larger bores and useful for shooting many things at once in a shotgun spread.
Go to the local hardware store and buy a dowel that will fit in that pipe. Make it apx 2/3 the length of the pipe and give it a nice sharp tip. Then fire it into stuff. Be sure to get some extra in case the first one gets destroyed.
For a dowel that size if it's not in the dowel section, check for a length of closet pole. Same thing but generally in a different area.
Should end up looking somewhat like this.

Oh, and if it doesn't fit perfectly you could use the ideas stated above or staple a rag to the back of the dowel and use the dowel to pack the rag in behind it.
An entire canister of those cheap walmart airsoft BBs.

I like this, somebody will definitely get hurt, but i like this.
Going to try a cork with a bolt through it as well
Shoot the pens and/or batteries at a sheet of plywood.
Tennis Balls.
My friend would soak them in lighter fluid, set them on fire, and shoot them out. It looked really cool.
Not sure this would work, but you could fire a can of shaving cream at a wall or something else hard.
If it smashes against it, the foam will explode outward.

Tennis balls don't fit in a 5cm barrel. Besides, we did that with our old potato cannon and the force of it puts the flame out anyway

I'm in the UK. Our supermarkets don't randomly sell BBs unfortunately, and i don't know of any places that do around here. I may order some though, although they will be a bitch to clean up.
And no, i don't have any marbles :(
Make a small potato cannon and fire it. as soon as it's in air it fires another potato cannon that then fires a small iron spike.
Fire a wooden stick through shit.
You should get a large styrofoam block to fire stuff at, like they do on Mythbusters.
Also, firing stuff like Silly Putty or clay would probably look cool in slow motion... It may be difficult to get it in the barrel though.
Launch a potato cannon that's launching a potato cannon that's launching a potato cannon that's launching a potato and watch as the potato goes 900mph
