I'm from the PW/MSpaint forums and here is a message from Dragonspawn VIA steam and he (somewhat) represents the sub-forum.

All the things you mentioned are perfectly reasonable. Maybe she doesn't like the Steam UI. A single game may not warrant all the effort involved in changing operating system. I can't see any pressing reason to upgrade to 7 besides a few games that need dx10.

If you bought vista around june to September 2009 they gave you a free upgrade to windows 7 when it came out. They even shipped it free :smug:

Upgrades are important to every software and technology. If there weren't any upgrades we wouldn't have cars. Think of this, The first car ever made probably never worked because something was wrong. In order for Elwood Haynes (Inventor of first car) to make it work he would have to upgrade the older version, which didn't work. So basically if you don't upgrade a program you will have problems later on because the world moves on and will not wait and hold your hand. Another reason to you will have problems is that someday a company will no longer now anything about that device and there will be no way to get help. So please upgrade.
