You fail to grasp the fact that although they become soldiers they don't stop being themselves, and some soldiers are complete fuck wits, some are even forced to join the army out of financial need, paying themselves through education etc. I don't respect someone just because they learn how to kill someone, use your nogging. As it happens I recall Linelor visiting this thread earlier and he spent some time in the military, I think he was saying something about how we don't have to support the troops but that we should respect them. So essentially he was asking for respect, just not directly.
