What can I say? I've got wood for wood.

Also fuck what is it with you people and spelling my name wrong?
Everyone spells it Van Kaeo. It's like everyone is dyslexic.
That's an e. Ven Kaeo.
I am not a van.
I am a creepy Cheshire cat with a woody for wood on guns.

That poor, poor gun.
Is that molten (and of course hence forth dried) lead? There's no saving that barrel, is there?
How the fuck could it even get that bad? Wouldn't the rough edges and lack of rifling start to fuck the bullet up on the way out and potentially rupture the barrel?
You can get lead out of the barrel. Never seen it get that bad though, damn. Just clean your barrel after every time you fire it and you're good.
Gun show in three days! what should I keep my eyes out for? i've got a max of $200 to spend on either a nugget or miracle SKS
Not firearms related, but if anyone knows a good bit about Benchmade knives PM me i found an ATS-34 and i wanna know if it's worth keeping/selling/whatever
Benchmade knives are of great quality. They cost a lot more than the average knife though. Well worth it IMO, if you have the extra cash lying around.
You're thinking of the XM8. The G36 is very popular in European militaries and police agencies, and is popular enough for Mexico to start making their own.

I wonder if any of the cartels have bought them from the Mexican army yet.

The lead could be removed with solvent or by heating the barrel

I have a Benchmade Folder, very nice
That Kel Tec shit is ugly as fuck and a THOUSANDS times more brittle than wood I'm betting.
As an owner of both Kel-Tec and wooden stocked weapons I can tell you that you are, in fact, dead fucking wrong.

They sure as hell aren't pretty but they are reliable and sturdy little guns.
Okay. So. Gun talk.
Hypothetically, in extreme 'shit has hit the fan' scenario style.
How hard is it to melt down lead and make bullets for cartridges? Let's say 7.62. I know you'd need a die cast, are those hard to find/expensive? (I'm not going to do this, ever, but I'm curious)
Or is it even not possible? Would the bullet be too light?
easy. I know a guy that does it with .45-70
You can melt lead on a kitchen stove, it's pretty easy
The gun in the pic was a GSG-5 with a box of .22 Thunderbolt through it (a single box). It was able to be cleaned out with some heavy duty gun scrubbers and lead removers.

"Miracle SKS", I'm not sure I like the sound of that.

Never noticed how nice wood looks on a Beretta

My friend who was in the army said that he had problems with the F2000 jamming, due to the strange way it dumps shells
and also that it has a plastic extractor
[sp]the point was that its an airsoft gun[/sp]
Not surprising. I have an airsoft AK-47 and it looks extremely realistic.

It's also plastic
"Miracle SKS", I'm not sure I like the sound of that.
how
i imagine a golden SKS with angelic wings
fn2000
I kinda like it, although I do like anything big and clunky.

Funny thing is, I can probably get the SKS you just described cheaper here than you can get a normal one. It's tempting too...

Picked this from /k/, what the fuck?
It looks like someone buttfucked together a Luger and some .22 target pistol.
So, I have to wait until Tuesday to finalize the paperwork for my firearms permit, then I have to wait TWO FRIGGING MONTHS to receive it.
On the brighter side, discussing on an italian gunnuts group on FB regarding a possible increase in Saiga prices in the near future, I jokingly said if one of them could buy one for me and hold it for a bit.
One of them accepted. If we enact such masterful plan, I'll have a 550-600 € AK and might meet the guy sometimes at a range to fiddle with it until I can bring it home.
the f2000 forces the casings out the channel so even when shooting upwards they go out
Not all the time, actually.
The time I went and shot one it sort of took like maybe 5-6 shots and then the gun sort of vomits them all out at the same time :v:
Especially if it wasn't pointed down or level.

Yeah they don't fall out evenly, my friend said that after he was done firing it he had to tilt it so all of the spent casings fell out
I do want a Sub-2000 some day to keep in a bugout bag.
My bugout bag has a chopped up .410 break action (pistol grip with folding stock, the internet is jealous) and loads of .410 shells and .45 colt ammo.
It's supposed to be like that.
Seems like a poor design that is inviting some sort of clog
Seems like a poor design that is inviting some sort of clog
It is and it does
but it is a relatively simple solution towards making the gun ambidextrous without any modifications like changing the direction of the ejection port
