I do want a Sub-2000 some day to keep in a bugout bag.
If only they made this in a real caliber...I'd buy it.
I should ask my friend if it jammed less on semi [editline]19th April 2012[/editline] automerge :(
While we're on the topic, we should get to talking about the best guns for a bug-out situation. All I really have are my Mosin Nagant (hopefully with a PEM scope and a bipod soon) and my Marlin .22 WMR (which, strangely enough, is pricey in bulk.) I'd love to get something I can break apart easily, like the Sub-2000.
Henry AR-7. Breakdown .22 survival rifle that is waterpoof.

Pump or lever, semi auto you need to clean more. Anything in .22LR as a hunting weapon, it'll drop a deer if you get the head.
Aren't those really horrible though?
they pretty much suck
Since I'll be getting a Saiga and it'll be my only gun for quite a lot, I'd say the AK family is a great option for SHTF. ...or at least it best be, or the zombies will eat me and the black helicopters will take me to Guantanamo. [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] This mean handsome bastard right here.

Got to hang out with a local SWAT team today, got to play with some of their gear and look at equipment. Then got to watch a sniper make quick work of targets, then got to watch them do a breach. Got to feel what a flashbang is like, they tossed it behind me and the concussion is pretty intense. Then I got to fire some M4's in full-auto mode. Overall, fun day. Not many people get to do what I did. Shamee though, they wouldn't let me shoot the 40mm nade launcher. I just wanted to shoot smoke or less then lethal rounds.
guns
it's not simple plastic though. it's high grade composites.

Another question: We have an R700 rifle, but we need a scope for it. Looking for one that goes 4-8x or 8-12x magnification.
Or Meopta
3-9x40mm is usually the standard kind of scope we sell at the store, it's sorta an all-around magnification that allows you to see fairly far without sacrificing near-mid range visibility too much. I know the Leupold Canadian series that my store stocks comes with a calibre-specific dial for distance, so you set the scope at 100/200 and can dial it up to 500-700 depending on the dial, and it adjusts drop for you. Though if you can find a Zeiss for cheap, get a Zeiss. Hell, when I found out my store has a Zeiss 3-9x40 for only $500, I was sold on what scope I'll get if I ever get a rifle needing a scope.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyq90LEZe4k
That's awesome. I especially like the gigantic indoor skeet range.
I'm excited. I get 3 paychecks in may instead of 2 because of extra weeks. Should be able to afford an AK-47 then.
My uncle threw a tear gas nade at me. I caught it.
I highly doubt that, unless it wasn't cooked and still had the safety pin in it. I've been tear gassed before when i worked in corrections, i highly doubt you would be holding it if activated. Though, I just believe you're being a smart-ass because every week I post about my simulation trainings and live fire exercises that I take part in.

Now what if he actually does like that, Commie? Now you've made him feel bad. Way to go

Reminds me a lot of the The Great Outdoors Expo in Buffalo.

Newest Russian Rifle.
It's not even worth arguing. He tossed me a deactivated grenade after pulling the pin and the spoon flipped off.
