I don't think you realize how short the stock itself is. You have to lean in on the weapon more than you should or twist your head and arm awkwardly. It's obviously the size that is the problem. I'm getting a longer skeleton stock anyways as the weapon is light, and would benefit.
hmm, so this is where y'all went.

Why are you arguing with him... He could be six feet or taller. Warsaw Pact length is something like an inch shorter than NATO length... so just stop assuming he is doing something wrong, cause then you make an ass outta you and me.

The only real argument is which "stance u use??!!" or if you are a baby about the bolt distance.
I can easily handle both AR-style full and collapsible (any setting but all the way collapsed) stocks and any AK-style stock. You'll get used to switching between both after a bit of time.

I guess so, but it was noticeably awkward to shoulder.
I'm over 183 and I had no problem shouldering an AK stock??
I am over 200+~ with a 47 and a 6.60
First firearm I buy is probably gonna be a mcnugget.

When I first used an AK, I had more chicken winging going on than a Buffalo Wild Wings. Just give it time.

That was my first, can't really go wrong when they're under $150 basically anywhere you look.

AK stocks are pretty small for bigger guys, perfect for little bastards though

I can't imagine it would be any harder than making coke can land mines... or, err, so I've been told.

So, how much would a completely stock 5.56 AR15 usually run? I know prices vary wildly from place to place, but I'm just wanting a general figure about how much one might cost.

For a bare bones stock AR, you're probably looking at roughly $600. To start.
Honestly though prices on ARs are so widely varied it's hard to say.

Lowest I've seen is $700.

If it's under $800 chances are you're buying garbage. That's the rule of thumb I've been told by dozens of sources and has been pretty true when handling and going over differences between them.
Armalite, Stag Arms, Smith and Wesson, Rock-River Arms, Colt, Daniel Defense and LMT being the first that come to mind for 'quality' AR's.
Collectively, my house contains 2500 rounds of 5.45, 3000 rounds of 5.56, 1500 rounds of 7.62x39, 2000 of 7.62x54, 700 rounds of 9x19, 800 of .45 Colt.

My friend got a sweet Panther Arms DPMS with a quad rail and 556 barrel for $600, it was a great deal.

So around $800 would be the least expensive quality AR-15? Or is it not even worth buying those, and instead saving up a few more hundred and paying $1,000, etc. I'm cheap, and I want to get the best bang for my buck but not compromise on quality.

Pretty much.
Take note of the order I stacked the brand names in. Stag Arms are the ones specifically that have AR's in the $800 window and have a decent reputation.
