Ugh, I hate it when people think SPAS-12 has two models; one being semi-auto and one being pump.

Always wanted a Spas-12 since I seen Jurassic Park, then again when I seen it in Miami Vice:

The early models of the spas had a lever safety and apparently it had a dangerous defect, along with the fact that it had jamming problems. Still want one regardless. We all have one gun that we just want.
I've never had the pleasure of seeing/ using a spaz-12 and I find it sad... then again I have had the pleasure of seeing an original Browning A-5 (which I pray I get to shoot some day). I told the dude who owns it, my buddies great uncle, if he ever wants to part with it I am right here.
Browning A-5 for those who don't know: [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Browning_Auto-5_20g_Mag.jpg[/thumb]
I remember skeet shooting with an A5 at a cottage, I couldn't hit shit all with it. Best gun for me that day was probably the single-shot Baikal we had up.
Personally, I think the way the stock attaches to the receiver on the A5 looks odd, with that top part of the receiver being exposed like it is.

NIB never fired
I inherited an Auto-5 from my grandpa.
Haven't fired it yet.

For how much I wonder?
Can someone go over the basics of buying a firearm online? Ven Kaeo posted a link a few pages back where I can buy a Mosin Nagant online. I'm in Florida right now but by May I'll be back in Georgia. When I get settled in I plan on buying Mosin Nagant. Do I need to get any permits, any licenses, or anything like that? When I order the rifle will it be shipped straight to my door, or do I have to have it shipped to a dealer or something?

I think it is probably the most beautiful shotgun ever made. But hey, that's the nature of opinion.

Georgian here.
You need it shipped to a dealer (FFL). Most dealers will charge you for receiving and transferring the firearm. Search around and try to find the lowest transfer fee, because a high fee will kill the savings potential of ordering online. As for qualifications with a clean record in gun-loving Georgia, there are pretty much none beyond being 18 to buy a long gun and 21 to buy a handgun (you'll need a license to conceal carry though) plus the typical federal laws like not being committed to a mental institution.
If you see yourself collecting a good number of surplus guns in the future, you can pay a nominal sum and save on transfer fees by getting an FFL "Curio and Relics" License. This FFL will allow you to have you have old surplus guns shipped right to your door. It's relatively easy to get IIRC.

$1,350
It's a fixed stock model, though.
Today I learned that the SMLE MKIII has a detachable magazine.
Though never used. Ours used to be jammed in, judging by the scars.

They're detachable, but only for cleaning. It wasn't meant to be used like we use magazines now.

I would still buy it, even with it being the fixed stock model. Does it have the improved safety?
Milled AK's are the best type of AK's as far as I'm concerned. I refuse to buy anything beyond the AK-74 because I'm oldschool like that.
It's a fixed stock model, though.
Relatively easy to remedy.

I can imagine during mad-minute trials, especially the world-record holding one, that they detached the magazines, as it seems like it would be speedier than loading 2 chargers into the mag when you're trying to make 38 shots on target at 300m in a minute.
Speaking of SPAS-12s, I wanted to check how much do they sell for here in Italy, expecting something ridiculous.
Instead they go for 600 euros holy shit
Uhh SPAS 12 is an Italian shotgun, why would it cost equal to or more than the American price?
Of course it's cheaper, no import fees, no border bullshit, etc.
Since italian gun companies are greedy fucks, I really expected it to cost at least a grand. This was a pleasant surprise.
Now I feel tempted to get one in the future, mostly to make americans jelly.

Next time I go to Italy (Lived there for 3 years), I'll pick one up and when it goes time to move again I'll ship it in the regular typical freight they use to move your belongings.
SPAS-12 got banned here, probably because the government at the time saw a "big scary gun" in the movies and thought that the mere existence of this gun in Canada would kill babies and puppies.
It's why I like it when things like the GM6 Lynx get imported, a bullpup .50 semi, or the TAR-21 assault rifle. It makes the idiots who made our gun laws shit their pants and cry themselves to sleep at night, and the more things that bring them displeasure the better.
So I found out my work got a Marlin Lever in .45-70 for only $550. Tempting... If only just for the power behind it, but alas, the desire for a motorcycle and/or Walther are greater than for any lever action.

You know if I could find one of the fixed stock ones with a magazine stopper of 3 shells, I'd say I could get one legally, although when I sign the gun-license request up, I can imagine the look on the face of the superintendent inspecting it when he sees SPAS-12 selector fire shotgun. "And your reason for wanting this gun?" "Hunting Dinosaurs"

Better reason than any, I say.
Why would you hate and envy someone who can afford nice things?
It's called find a nice job, work your way up to get a better wage. Be smart about finances, save up every pay check.
I save a certain amount from my paycheck every month so later on i can pick up whatever I want.
It isn't like a buy a gun every week, maybe ever 6 months I'll find or get a new gun.
CCI is what is tested in the sigs and that is what they suggest. Not a big deal imo.
Because I can't afford nice things? That's the most common premise of class discrimination. I do not like you, because you are more successful than I am, and can afford the things I want and cannot. Basic economic theory bro.
And yeah, okay. I'll go ahead and just run out to the Job Orchard and climb a Job Tree and pick me a nice bushel of tasty jobs. It isn't 1930 anymore you can't just run out and 'get a job'. It's hard to find MINIMUM WAGE positions these days. Luckily I have an okay job and am getting a promotion soon.
And people forget the most useful tool about a pump action shotgun, its sound.
Hear someone break into your home? Get within audible distance from them and pump that mofo, hear them run going "shitshitSHIT".
To be honest I'd be more afraid of the sound of a heavy hammer cocking on a revolver, or the bolt cycling on a higher calibre rifle like the Mosin-Nagant.
My mosin's bolt cycles very loud and it's very dangerous sounding. I love it.
