Spent the day working at the gun show. The booth I'm working has a Romanian PSL for $1150 w/2 mags and a case. Meant to take a pic. Will do it tomorrow.
i fucking love the bolt on my enfield. So smooth and quick
i fucking love the bolt on my enfield. So smooth and quick
A Lee will be My second gun I think, after a decent .22
To spend $300 on a PEM scope reproduction, or not to spend $300 on a PEM scope reproduction, that is the question! That or get a PU scope reproduction for like $200 but I like the look of the PEM more.
classic firearms is selling a 91-30 round receiver with an authentic made-in-tula PU 3.5x scope for like $400. That's going to be the next thing I buy after my AK-47 [editline]29th April 2012[/editline]
Spent the day working at the gun show. Any chance you guys could ship it to another FFL dealer if someone paid for it?
A Lee will be My second gun I think, after a decent .22
You will love it. Problem is ammunition for them is a pain in the ass.
You will love it. Problem is ammunition for them is a pain in the ass.
So much truth... best option is reloading.
You will love it. Problem is ammunition for them is a pain in the ass.
Not really. Reloading is easy and cheap. Projectiles are a wee bit expensive atm though, I've been looking into swaging my own from .22lr brass, might be difficult, but It's worth a go and should be cheap
Scoped? Any chance you guys could ship it to another FFL dealer if someone paid for it?
Yep, scoped. I'll check with the bossman about it today.
Does anyone know how hard it is to get an export permit in the US? I was thinking of organising a group buy of ammo. I've found a few places in the US that sell .223 for 22c a round, 9mm for 20c a round, and 7.62x54r for 18c a round. Would be nice to bring in 40k of ammunition
Yep, scoped. I'll check with the bossman about it today.
Thanks Maybe see if he'll offer some sort of discount too :v: $1,150 seems a bit steep but if I can't find anything else I'll pay that. Garm's shop that had a scoped dragunov, apparently got it in trade. I called them last night to see what they wanted for it. The guy only wanted $650 for the fucking thing. I wish he hadn't sold it I would have bought it on the spot.
Today I'll be shooting black powder rifles and pistols, I am excited.
You guys never responded to my question :C
inb4 learn 2 use iron sights Seriously tough, what manufacter? Where are you buying it from?
Shit, sorry about that. I'm considering Kalinka Optics, because they're an original Russian manufacturer, but they don't sell the less expensive reproductions. The PEM scope that I was looking at is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soviet-Russian-Mosin-nagant-91-30-PE-PEM-sniper-scope-and-mount-combo-/310396125171?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48450cfff3#ht_1459wt_1163 Honestly, I'm not looking to buy original because that's way way way out of budget.
inb4 learn 2 use iron sights
uhh what
I think the PE/PEM looks more sniper rifle-like but I in the other hand I like PU's timeless design. Go for what you think is the best, the Ebay seller had a respectable feedback. [editline]30th April 2012[/editline]
uhh what

GO TO FIRING RANGE, PRACTICE WITH MANY MAGAZINE OF CARTRIDGE. Go for what you think is the best, the Ebay seller had a respectable feedback.
The only concern I really have with the PEM is the fact that instead of only two bore-holes, you have to make six, which pretty much destroys my ability to install it compared to a PU, which I could install myself.

Also, do you you have a regular bolt handle or a long one? A long one would probably be better.
/k/
That makes no sense though. There's different sights for different preferences and different ranges and different uses. Learning iron sights (and only iron sights) by heart will only fuck you up when you DO start using an attached sight. Not taking muscle memory into account, but that pertains to sidearms more so than rifles.
Regular one, I was planning on just spending the $40 to buy a bent sniper bolt.
Also, there's Physica (I wonder how expensive they are).
That doesn't change what I said; what a horrible joke.
I know the scope I have is for a Nagant, I just don't know what kind it is. It was given to me by an old friend I know from Serbia along with a few other things here. How much do Nagant accessories go for anyway?
Went shooting and my Arisaka didn't explode, but I need to secure the bayonet lug to the stock with tape or something, because it fell off after 4 shots, and if I remove it it fucks the barrel's harmonics and the gun shoots retarded high. The SVT was still doing light primer strikes at first, then it seemed to loosen up and worked fine by the time we were leaving. I also photocopied my registration certificates for my rifles and shot them to celebrate the death of the registry.

Oh yeah you did, sorry 'bout that Ven :v: [editline]29th April 2012[/editline] Would you guys cry for blood if I were considering a PSL/FPK scope on it? I have no idea how that'd look.
Tore between getting a DSA FAL or a PTR-91. From the right angle, sure, but I don't like how much that covers the stock on the left side. That's just me being extraordinarily picky, however. My Nagant's my baby, and I want to make sure I pick the very best for her :v: [editline]30th April 2012[/editline] Also when it comes to bent bolts, do you prefer straight down, or this?
