Tore between getting a DSA FAL or a PTR-91.
[editline]29th April 2012[/editline]
That would look nice IMO.
If you're going for a PTR-91 go for the GI variants. From what I've read they can handle the Surplus ammo far better than the other ones.
DSA's on the other hand I've heard nothing bad said against them. They seem to be pretty darn gud.

He said he only does face to face deals, though. Sorry :(
Aw god damn it
That is such a sexy fucking gun too.
Would you considering buying it and then selling it to me? Possibly?

Garm, Garb. They're so close on the keyboard might as well be the same letter.

Possibly. PM me your zip code and I'll get a shipping quote.
Guys I am going to get a gun that fires 6mm Flobert.
So I can hunt bugs.

MOTHER OF GOD
I would like to know how many other guns were seized, they only give the number sourced from the us and the number of serials they sent to the ATF
Lets hope they go to their owners/stores and not melted down by the ATF for drug money.
OperatorChan what are you doing

Well that's something new. I've seen people putting real RDS and scopes on their Nerf guns before, but never the other way around.
Also, it needs a Recon light and Stampede foregrip as well for maximum tacticool.
Lets hope they go to their owners/stores and not melted down by the ATF for drug money.
they'll be melted down, pretty sure thats what they do with captured weapons.

They should throw those into American circulation and let us buy them.
Pardon my lack of knowledge on the subject, but how can one acquire the rights to own a fully automatic firearm in Washington State?
OperatorChan what are you doing
I wonder if that would actually work...
I wonder if that would actually work...
It'll rattle like a mofo, and it probably won't align correctly.
Pardon my lack of knowledge on the subject, but how can one acquire the rights to own a fully automatic firearm in Washington State?
Off the top of my head it's got everything to do with a Class III licenses, huge tax stamps and tons of paper work, plus the weapon has to be made before 1986 and then there's the actual cost of the gun which is in the thousands.
Not worth it IMO.
the weapon has to be made before 1986
That's a load of horse shit.
That's a load of horse shit.
That part is true if you don't have a class three with the accompanying stamps and paper work and time. Either way your looking at a couple grand for a full auto weapon...
To clarify the AWB and NFA state that guns made after 1986 require licensing and what not. Guns made before don't though they will all be up into the "to rich for my blood" price range.
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/americas/2012/04/201242775446363686.html
MOTHER OF GOD
This comes up every few months. Mexico only sends the guns they are sure came from the US to the ATF to be searched. And if that gun was EVER in the US, be it bought, sold it built here, then it will be considered as "From the US."
Mexico only sent the ATF probably 17% of all the guns they captured to the ATF to be checked, and only 70% of those had ever existed in the US.
Vast majority of those are military contract guns sold to the Mexican Army, which were then stolen and used by cartels.

As an individual, the gun must have been registered prior to May 1986. You tell the seller you are interested. You then have to complete the paperwork, which means either creating a trust to own the guns, or submitting fingerprints to the ATF along with a $200 check and waiting 6-9 months for it to come back. If they give you the go ahead, you drop anywhere from $3,000 to $60,000 to the seller, show them your approved paperwork, and you get to take your MG home.
If you are a Class III FFL, you can buy newer ones at a much lower price. But if you lose your FFL for any reason, the guns must either be sold or handed over to the ATF.

I see them as weapons that need a new home, I'd adopt them all.

Oh thank god. I don't mind spending a ton of money so long as I think it's worth it.

That's completely reasonable.

Machine guns are expensive, but so is feeding it.
Alternatively you can buy an AR-14 OR AK-47 for around $700 and a slidefire stock for about $300 and have a legal semi auto rifle that fires as fast as a full auto without having to pay for a tax stamp or shell out a new car

Is this classed as restricted under the auto-ban in the US?

Nope, someone I know owns one.

AC-556 is full auto and thus is regulated by NFA '34 and FOPA '86.
That's completely reasonable.
no it isn't
lol really? those are more expensive than a new amg
Uh no. Coupled with all the licensing and tax stamping and etc a full auto rifle is not cheaper than a semi auto
Read my post again.
A Mercedes AMG is cheaper than an original Stoner AR-14.
I think he meant to put AR-15. Still, I haven't seen a decent AR-15 for $700.

a post-86 one costs around that much, but you're never going to own one
Oh wait did I say AR-14? Yeah I meant AR-15. My phone must have autocorrected it.
