Strikemark Digital Camera Picatinny Rail Mount
A photographer friend of mine brought Strikemark's range of digtial camera mounts to my attention. They have mounts for standard digital cameras (via. the universal tripod mounting system build into most cameras), GoPro cameras and Contour digital video cameras.

Is buying a WASR-10/63 and just doing minor modifications to fix things like trigger slap and magazine wobble a good idea or is it better to just buy something like an SKS if you're on a budget and want an okay-powered plinking rifle
[editline]f[/editline]
I don't care if it jams occasionally or anything as long as it doesn't blow up in my face and keeps eating the shittiest surplus ammo
Depending where you live and how lucky you are with the WASR you could end up pouring far more into fixing it than if you just bought an SKS. At any rate I thought the SKS was already cheaper than a WASR. Plus, if you want, you can get SKS's to take detachable 30rnd mags and go all sorts of tacticool on it. So personally, I'd say get the SKS.

I spend 500+ on airsoft guns so I have no qualms with buying a really cool looking gun just to plink with
They perform shit, the mags are shit, the company behind it is shit and they're overpriced
no, thanks
yeah but who cares, its just supposed to be a neat looking plinking gun, if the mag jams up in my backyard while Im shooting at cans, who gives a fuck
[editline]1st May 2012[/editline]
I have my Ruger as a survival rifle and my kel tec/870 as home defense. Any other guns Im buying at this point are for the sole purpose of cocking around
HURR .22LR IS SO DUMB I CAN ONLY PAY $75 FOR A MARLIN
Except that's not at all what I said and you're being a twat.
I already own three .22 firearms. I don't want a third. And I'm sure not spending $600 on one when I could pay the same price and get an imported Romanian AK-47.

You sure are a hypocrite. You scream and pitch a fit at me because I don't want to spend $600 on a .22LR replica of an STG 44 but then you denounce it worse than I did.

I started to get into Airsoft but I figured why the fuck spend so much money on fake guns when I could buy real guns and have more fun.

Is that a silencer on a .22?
Isn't it quiet enough :v:

From what I remember they are to hide the extended civil barrel. It's not a working silencer.

Yep, just a barrel extension

No to mention the fact that he bought a deactivated gun
Id say thats pretty god damn overpriced too considering it doesnt do anything
I've got a GSG-5PK It's the pistol, mp5k looking GSG. No clue how many round have been fired from it prior to me owning it but, at this point I'm looking to get a new firing pin becuase the old ones shit. Worn down just enough so it barely hits rim of the .22, rarely actually firing anything.
Other then that I love it. Going to SBR it pretty soon hopefully.
From what I remember they are to hide the extended civil barrel. It's not a working silencer.
Ah. I'm assuming it was required he extend the barrel for it to be legal?
Ah. I'm assuming it was required he extend the barrel for it to be legal?
I think it comes as standard.
Eh, I still think .22 replicas of bigger firearms are like putting bodykits on a family car and pretend you're like Need for Speed or something.
It does not feel as fun, and people will think you're a tool.
Ah. I'm assuming it was required he extend the barrel for it to be legal?
Yeah otherwise it would be an SBR.

I think it looks absolutely lovely, and I'll bet you anything that if this model is popular enough, they'll be releasing caliber variants.
[editline]1st May 2012[/editline]
I'd want it in 9mm Luger, or at least .22 WMR?
Yea, .22 WMR would be easier and still pretty cheap.
HURR .22LR IS SO DUMB I CAN ONLY PAY $75 FOR A MARLIN
he has a point though, why dump $600 on a a gun when you can get a $100 Mossberg 702 that performs just as well?
The point of airsofts are to have milsim/random stuff for fun. You don't want to shoot your best friend with your Glock now do you?
Quick question: Can you reload rim-fire ammunition?
Quick question: Can you reload rim-fire ammunition?
No
The point of airsofts are to have milsim/random stuff for fun. You don't want to shoot your best friend with your Glock now do you?
My point was directed at a $600 .22LR replica of the STG 44 not airsoft rifles.

Because the Mossberg doesnt look like an STG-44, for one :v:

GSG doesn't do their guns in other calibers. They are made of pot metal. They won't last firing a larger bullet out of them. Also, I think that .22lr has exceptions on import restrictions that other guns don't.

I would agree with you, but getting an actual STG-44 is damn near impossible and ludicrously expensive, so I think in this case its alright.
Getting one of the GSG .22 AKs, for example, is kinda silly.
In theory you could reload .22lr, but it would be difficult and expensive
And probably not worth it considering you can buy thousands upon thousands of rounds of .22LR cheap as shit
