since you're trying to be really clever
hehehe ...and wanting imitation products so you can look how you want without paying thousands for optics and gear is stupid? Ok.
i'm actually so mature that i can watch i show a like and not be afraid of mentioning it??
Mature people doing something immature because they like doing it
why on earth people pay thousands to dress up as soldiers and run around yelling commandos and messages is completely beyond me
obviously no correlation here no siree
tell me why you NEED advanced optics and load bearing vests for having fun in a forest?
Of course you don't, but for many people it enhances their enjoyment of the experience by making it feel more 'real', and I guess some just find the equipment desirable or 'cool'. Why do you NEED a nugget that doesn't shoot? Familiarity and spare parts? Fine. Just don't condemn others for buying something you neither need nor want.
tell me why you NEED advanced optics and load bearing vests for having fun in a forest?
Of course you dont need it, you just WANT it for the same reason that I WANT a real steel full auto AK or PPSH, or that .22lr MP-40, or one of those silly dual barrel .22 gatling guns because its fucking rad as hell [editline]2nd May 2012[/editline]
not really no because paying thousands for made in china optics and clothes isn't necessary to have fun and it makes no sense
Oddly, some people might have a different view of what is fun and what isnt spending thousands on remote control aircraft as a hobby doesn't really make sense either but tons of people do that
ATTENTION ALL STALKERS, A SHITSTORM IS ABOUT TO HIT US. FIND SHELTER! Airsoft: non-lethal fun to simulate battles between friends and shooting plastic in eachother's bum while laughing. Deac firearms: nice wallhanger, plus a set of spare parts. Watching or not a cartoon: who gives a shit, as long as you don't constantly flaunt your love or hate for it, all's fine. Discussing firearms while avoiding shit like this page: good, y'all should to this more. These latest posts: no. Bad. Stop this.
Anyone know of an affordable side by side 12 ga. shotgun? Preferably one with external hammers. I've seen the zhongzhou coachgun around, the one imported by century arms, but I don't really trust it to be worth the money. On a side note, who's porch is this? What kind of decent AR could I get for about $500-750?
Ah... I see Pruss is back to being barraged by insults for saying something offensive. Is that a reference to /k/ I see? Another day in paradise. Oh and some sex: [thumb]http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x256/10K2HVN/Market%20Viewing/03LONGSLIDE.jpg[/thumb]
Any good .22LR pistols for cheap? Or should I just get a Marlin 795?

Unless your ridiculously lucky and can find a used Colt AR or a used one from a brand that
isn't
the following: Bushmaster, DPMS (don't buy me stupid), Olympic Arms, Century Arms. That's just about covers it off the top of my head. STAG's are generally the cheapest GOOD quality AR's out there. Lowest you might find one new is at least $850+ If you want something that's really serious prepare to poop some serious cabbage for it.

I'm not sure how dumb of a question this is, but we'll find out. I'm looking at an H&K PTR-91F. It says it's chambered in 7.62x51mmR NATO. Can I load 147 grain 7.62x54mm into this or is the 3mm difference going to fuck everything up? Sincere question here so please no assholish responses.

Plus there's a whole ton of other differences, such as .308 doesn't have a rim.
Okay thanks. That answers it bluntly. Why exactly not? I'm sure it has something to do with the length of the cartridge and a powder load too powerful for what the rifle is designed to handle? [editline]2nd May 2012[/editline] So what would happen with a 3mm (or .04) difference?
Think of it this way: You wouldn't put 9x19 into a Makarov, 7.62x39 in an M1895, .45ACP in a Colt SAA, or .50BMG in a Desert Eagle. Even though all of these rounds are similar to the round that the weapon takes, you would never, ever, EVER try to use them in that weapon.
I know that I want to know exactly what would happen. Would the bullet jam in the barrel, would the cartridge explode, would the cartridge jam, etc.
I actually don't know what would happen. Most likely the round wouldn't even fit in the magazine, and if you bypass that, it probably wouldn't even fit in the chamber, and if it does then the bolt will most likely not cycle, but if somehow it does then I would assume the firing pin would either over-penetrate or light-strike, and if that doesn't happen, the bullet would be too big for the barrel.
I know that I want to know exactly what would happen. Would the bullet jam in the barrel, would the cartridge explode, would the cartridge jam, etc.
This may happen. Or the barrel could catastrophically explode, or it could jam, or it could fire but not be accurate what so ever. Then of course you have things like .38 special and .357 magnum, where you can shoot .38 special out of a revolver designed for .357 magnum but not vice versa. Examples of what could happen. This video is on a .410 shotgun that defied expectations when they loaded it with 30-30, 45-70 gov, 44. magnum, and 454 casull
Wow so if the cartridge is smaller, it 'fire forms' which I assume basically means from firing it reforms the cartridge to fit the barrel/receiver of the firearm. But from what I understand a smaller round that doesn't fit the barrel has the potential to get tripped up inside the barrel due to rifling that doesn't fit and potentially tumble/break up inside the barrel, right? What would happen if you somehow managed to shove a larger calibre bullet into a smaller calibre firearm and fire it? Would it just explode? It seems like it would.
That casing malformation is pretty incredible :v:

The bullet deforms and shoves itself down the barrel. That's not to say that the bullet couldn't get stuck in the barrel and cause a harmful stoppage, but as the video showed that wasn't the case. Infact the main reason the shotgun broke wasn't due to a barrel clog, but because the case produce significantly more pressure than a 454 normally would (which was incredibly high for that little .410 to handle to begin with) due to the fact that the cartridge was loaded with a hoopajoop of gun powder.
