Hey, I need help finding OD green furniture (specifically a butt stock and A2 pistol grip) for an AR15. I don't want Magpul, I want standard issue. Anyone know where I can find some?
Just buy anything and duracoat it OD green.
Looks like 5.8×21mm DAP92 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bf/57lineup.jpg/270px-57lineup.jpg It's a pistol cartridge used in their service pistols and sub machine guns. The QSZ-92 and QCW-05 [editline]13th May 2012[/editline] Can't really be anything else that's the only pistol cartridge that's casing is exactly 21mm. The next closest are the .445 Webley and the 9x21mm. Both of which lack the angled neck of the cartridge.
Fuck /k/ I identified it.
Cav Arms
Meant to rate informative. Thank you Ridge.
Does anyone know what the various colours on the tips of 7.62x54mmR means? Mine is grey. Does that indicate that it is steel core?

How is it weird?

If you really want to be a dick, chuck the tip at someones feet and watch the staining poof soil everything on them.

I found about twenty 40mm casings on the ground but couldn't take any under federal law. But I did grab a 2 inch smoke mortar round and a para flare. I also found the steel inner of a 50BMG projectile. [editline]14th May 2012[/editline] I did a little research. The mortar round looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/zLlUv.png Someone on another forum said that it is a para illuminating round, but the markings on mine are too faded to give out any information/numbers, so it could be. The Para Flare I have looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/PcXCg.jpg
Weirdest, but most innovative, rifle ever
So it's like a bolt action musket?
So it's like a bolt action musket?
so, a nagant?
Weirdest, but most innovative, rifle ever
paper cartridge thats actually, really interesting.
I cannot say where I work or what I do; however I'm sure you guys will enjoy this. The specific ammunition is called Force on Force.

They're aren't accurate for shit, and are really only good for pistol training. Using them in a rifle is hell since the gear you have to wear prevents you from getting a cheek weld at all. They're terribly dirty as well. I remember the last time I did training with them I had to spend 45 minutes cleaning just the barrel from all the fowling it created.

Also the projectile has a thin copper ring around the base of it so that it will make use of the rifling of the barrel. AND you can use force on force 5.56 rounds in your M4 with NO CONVERSION NEEDED, you literally just drop in the blue FOF bolt and you're good to go, same gun same barrel; just their bolt. So you can now train with YOUR weapon which is a huge advantage.
Going to go down to the local gun store today and see if the owner is okay with haggling. If so going to see about getting a better price from him on the Saiga he has, and maybe something else.

I have quite a few of these: They came with an old Gustav sub-machine gun I used to use, you had to put a special adaptor on the barrel and when it fired the rounds the plastic bullet would break up and be expelled out the side the of the adaptor, the blanks fired without the adaptor were still lethal however and were quite handy firing them inside a building.
May I ask in which country you used the Gustav? Because having fragments out to the side sounds like only a swede would think of :v:
May I ask in which country you used the Gustav? Because having fragments out to the side sounds like only a swede would think of :v:
Ireland.
I'll be sure to shoot you a PM the time next I'm in Ireland and need some IRA back-up :v:
Anyway, here's a few bullets, bit of a mix of blank and live, 7.62 .22's 308's 5.56's and a 303? I think. Also a recent gift from an old acquaintance: . I'll have to buy a Lee Enfield at some stage, I know a few guys who have one, its a great rifle to shoot.
So I'm back. Really glad I went down to the store. The owner, Niel, is a really nice guy. He has a Saiga 7.62x39 for $425 which is about $50-$75 less than I'd pay for it online after factoring in shipping and FFL Fees. He also has a 9mm Semi-Auto Rifle which caught my eye. He said it fired 9mm Magnums. I think he wanted $580 for it. He also had a Ruger Mini-30 for about $500 and a .22LR Tactical for $340, as well as a Mossberg 500 for $295. I'm not sure what I should get. He said he's got two Saiga 21GA shotguns coming in Thursday. I might get one of those if they're not too much. I'm leaning towards the Saiga 7.62x39
Mini-30s are damn near impossible to find right now. But I hear they have issues running steel case surplus, which is the primary allure of x39...
The guy I just saw has a nice Mini-30 for sale. he wants like $725 though.

.357 Mag is in my opinion a genius caliber within some reason.
