I bought 20 stripper clips for s&g's just to see how they'd load, and they really don't. Hold them properly and everything and if I do get them out of the clip they don't really ever go into the magazine. The reproduction clips are just garbage.
Any good Nagant strippers for sale?
My dad bought me one of these babies since my favorite pistol is a PM: Just gotta wait for it to arrive at dealer. I hope getting ammo, magazines, and those Cold War era red star grips will be cheap.
9x18 is cheap as fuck, magazines aren't expensive at all. I don't know about the red star grips, I've never really looked at the prices on those

Enjoy it, those Bulgarian Makarovs are great pistols. I plan to get one one of these days.
Don't know what it is about them, but I just can't stand Makarovs. Not that they're bad pistols... just... not sure. Can't stand em. :v:

I don't like how they look, and I much rather have an old CZ or a TT. [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] Maybe if the slide and the barrel were extended a bit more? v:v:v [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] Actually if they did that it'd look more like a CZ-52 eh
Tokarev TT33 best pistol all years every year.
Proffered weapon of choice: The only handgun that can also be named after a type of sandwich.

I have one :D It was my Grandpa's. I love it
Tokarev TT33 best pistol all years every year.
tt33 is better than the pm in damn near every way
Norinco makes a clone of the Hi power for only like $280. I don't really know the quality level but for $280 it's a great deal anyway.
tt33 is better than the pm in damn near every way
I prefer the Mak for one reason: Ammo is cheaper here in Illinois
There's a Hi-Power sandwich? Or is it not a Hi-Power?
The Irish call it a BAP for some odd reason
The Irish call it a BAP for some odd reason
Browning Automatic Pistol ...
Browning Automatic Pistol ...
Yeah but its a Hi-Power Thats like calling a M2 a Browning Heavy Machine Gun. Its an accurate description, its just not what the gun is really called :v:
Yeah but its a Hi-Power Thats like calling a M2 a Browning Heavy Machine Gun.
so? the irish call the M2 ".5 Heavy Machine Gun" it makes sense it's like you're bitching that brits would call the FN MAG the "GPMG" when that's what it is, a General Purpose Machine Gun.
Im not bitching, I get the meaning Obviously the irish can refer to the M2 as the .5 Heavy Machine Gun or whatever because they probably dont have any other .50cal HMGs in service, likewise with the brits because the MAG is their GPMG. But in conversation with someone who isn't from those places don't expect anyone to know what you mean, because its basically a colloquialism.
I know nothing about guns, but I've been wondering what the point of revolvers is. They seem very inconvenient to use (especially reload).
I know nothing about guns, but I've been wondering what the point of revolvers is. They seem very inconvenient to use (especially reload).
Simpler, somewhat more reliable (arguably, because they still have timing issues), more badass :v: Really these days the only practical advantage of them is that they can be chambered in larger calibers and cartridge lengths than semi-auto handguns. Other than that they are less useful in pretty much every way.
I know nothing about guns, but I've been wondering what the point of revolvers is. They seem very inconvenient to use (especially reload).
Eh, it's pretty much a taste question. That being said, revolvers can be chambered in much larger calibers than semi-automatic pistols since the ammunition is not fitted inside the grip. Also, some revolvers offer higher accuracy compared to pistols.
ninja'd twice Also, revolvers can be nicely concealable like this S&W Also, the roll thing is a speedloader that makes it a whole lot faster to reload.
I know nothing about guns, but I've been wondering what the point of revolvers is. They seem very inconvenient to use (especially reload).
Well they're an older design, predating modern pistols by a good bit. They still have their advantages, they can't have feed problems, for example. You can also load much larger rounds into it,a .500 S&W round would be unbearably large for a pistol with a box magazine. [editline]24th May 2012[/editline] .500 wouldn't feed very well in a box mag anyway, it's a rimmed cartridge
they can't have feed problems, for example.
Sure they can, they can get out of time [editline]24th May 2012[/editline]
ninja'd twice Also, revolvers can be nicely concealable like this S&W Also, the roll thing is a speedloader that makes it a whole lot faster to reload.
To be fair, there are very small semi-auto pistols as well
Sure they can, they can get out of time
Timing isn't feeding. They still can't jam though
Timing isn't feeding. They still can't jam though
I'd consider that a feeding issue since it basically cant get the round into the proper position to be fired
