My father kept it in his truck; basically, his carry gun. One night, while the truck keys were sitting on the front seat, some teenagers jumped our fence after going on a robbing spree in our neighboorhood and used my dad's truck as a getaway car (as far as the police could tell). So, in the morning we realized our truck was gone and we called the police. They told us our truck had been ditched a few miles down the road and when we arrived and checked the truck out the pistol was missing. They filed the missing weapons report sometime later and we took the truck home. The dumb thing about all this was this was the first (and only) day my dad had left the keys in the truck (he had been unloading building materials the afternoon before). Since then we've added plenty of security systems to make up for that little mistake :\ And being the South with our dumb hick cops (small town, so they do jack shit about anything) I'm pretty sure one of them are related to the thief and don't wanna snitch them out or whatever. Or, it's been sold/traded to some drug dealer and is probably sitting in some Cartel member's house somewhere in Mexico. Either way, we're probably not gonna see it for a long time (or ever)
What a damn shame. Such a beautiful gun [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] How could i get my hands on the closest thing to a legal(semi) AKs-74u? They're fucking sexy.
If you live in US, you can get a semi-auto one registered as a SBR, or if you have 20k laying around, a full auto one Here is someone that sells them: http://paladinarmory.com/SBR.htm#KRINKOV Try searching on Gunbroker.com for SBRs
History time guys.
I'm sure there's a new production with no stock manufactured as a "pistol" somewhere
I got a few buckets of old ammo, and its pretty dirty. Should I clean it before I use it, or should I not worry. If I need to clean it, how should I.
I'd just wipe it off unless it's copper and it got tarnished.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FHIpR.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/sYYxc.jpg[/thumb] Apparently a CD drive can catch .22 short the small dents are from a red ryder that didn't penetrate at all.
Question: Can you load .22 Hornet into a rifle chambered in .22LR? I'm curious because I look at a .22H round and it just looks amazing. I look at my .22LR and I think 'eh'. It's fun but the bullet itself just gives me an 'eh' feeling. .22H looks evil and like it's full of hatred for everything it's pointed at. It also looks sharp enough to STAB someone with.
It's a completely different cartridge, I don't even see how it would work. You might as well try loading .223 in a .22lr rifle. Or .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer.
Especially the last one on the list.
.17 Flintstone Super Eyebunger all day erryday.
This video is quite entertaining. A perfect example of what NOT to do
I was out trap shooting with my friend Friday Night and he was using 3&1/2 bird shot shells out of his 12 ga because its all he had and at the end of the night I was looking at his gun, its a single shot, and I found out its only chambered for 3in. shells. How bad is that?
if it's a single shot he's fine, the only real issue usually is that it's hard to extract from a repeater
There needs to be an ABANDON THREAD gif made from 3:05-3:07 :v:
That'd be simply fantastic.
I don't understand how anyone could thing a .22 Hornet would fit in a .22LR ... Talk about dumb

[editline]4th June 2012[/editline]
This video is quite entertaining. A perfect example of what NOT to do
It is AMAZING what firearms will take. That being said it hurts me that they do things like this. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline]
I don't understand how anyone could thing a .22 Hornet would fit in a .22LR ... Talk about dumb
Wow talk about rude.
Wow talk about rude.
Too bad, it should be pretty fucking obvious For starters one is centerfire while one is rimfire. Secondly the case is 2 TIMES AS LONG as the .22lr or .22Long.. Thirdly it's a tapered cartridge while the .22LR is straight walled. If you can't pick up something that obvious at glance their is something wrong with you
Wow super rude. Let's see 1) Yeah sorry pictures don't tell me that a cartridge is rimfire or centrefire. 2) Yeah sorry pictures that don't have both rounds right fucking next to each other don't really offer apt comparisons between cartridge length Only thing wrong here is your attitude and/or superiority complex.
There needs to be an ABANDON THREAD gif made from 3:05-3:07 :v:
How's this?
No, you're just being an idiot. It's obvious if you looked at it that this:, that it couldn't fit into a gun that fires this:
Sorry Starlight but IMO you're being the idiot. Those pictures do not offer apt comparisons even when put next to them. Yes, the Hornet round is obviously tapered but you cannot tell any other difference between the two. Actually in these pictures the Hornet looks SMALLER than the .22LR because the one with the .22LR is larger. You're not helping download's case. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] I also think the two of you are being fucking retards for going off the deep end over what was pretty much a passing curiosity, and I would appreciate it if the two of you fucked off. I think you've all gone nuts
You can see it's centerfire, which should make it obvious it won't work. After you see it's tapered
You can see it's centerfire, which should make it obvious it won't work. After you see it's tapered
You can't see it's centrefire if the picture you saw had the .22 Hornet standing on it's end you dimpus.
2) Yeah sorry pictures that don't have both rounds right fucking next to each other don't really offer apt comparisons between cartridge length
From right to left: 22lr, 22 magnum, 22 hornet. There's also Wikipedia, which tells you the diameter of the cartidge, length, ect. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but there's your comparison.
I can tell this is an argument but for some reason I can't see anything other than PBFGBBBBBFPBT followed by you goofs throwing your rattles and pacifiers at each other
Yeah I got it by now it's bigger. I saw some .22 Hornet and thought it looked like a neat round. Asked in passing curiosity while doing other things if it could be fired from a weapon that fires .22LR Fucking sue me. Christ.
You can't see it's centrefire if the picture you saw had the .22 Hornet standing on it's end you dimpus.
Hmm
