I was thinking of probably just getting some aimpoint or RDS, do you think that little strip that fits into the stripper clip hold would do the trick for something like that? [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] .........................
fucks sake link that. That's NSFW right there.
That is sad. Why would you do that to the original stock?
God damn, Ridge. That's like 10-12 (5-6 months) of my fucking paychecks BEFORE my bills and rent and shit. How the fuck can you afford that shit.
You just incrementally save up. Start out with $50 per paycheck if you can. Surely several months of patience is worth your dream gun.
You guys don't want to see what a classmate did to a k98 stock :v: Another classmate thought that making a thread protector out of wood for his .223 was a good. Until he fired it :v: He got wood pieces all over the range

Well, he later explained how that K98 was in absolute fuckshit conditions. Later on, there was also a guy with a Fluttershy SKS stock. But hey, at least Good American had the decency to do a similar job on a WASR instead of a historic rifle, and he kept a backup furniture set in original conditions.
Bronies are bad enough as it is IMO. Then they go and do shit like this. I don't care if they have the original stock somewhere else and did it to a different stock. It's the principle of the matter. You don't put fucking pony shit from a children's show on a firearm no matter the age. This isn't PlaySkool "My First Gun" damn it.
It's mostly for trolling purposes, and it seems to work like a charm. Like the fellow who wrapped a Mosin in blue tape and rustled a serious amount of jimmies before people realized it was not paint and took it off, revealing the rifle was unschated. It's amazing how much rage one can induce by simply mentioning little pastel horses.
The show itself is fine. When you realize the target audience is 5 year old girls. That's perfectly fine. What's not fine is a bunch of teenage boys and grown men not only religiously watching the show, but then masturbating to the horses in it, who are no doubt not even of legal age if there is a legal age for horses. Also this entire subculture that has popped up around My Little Pony is just... it's too much. It's WORSE than furries. I've met nice, logical, not retarded furries. I cannot say the same about bronies.
Alright alright, time to blow some minds before this gets out of hand. Not only the characters are depicted as young adults in the show, but respectable fans do surprisingly exist. Much like furries or any other sort of fandom, there are both quiet individuals who simply enjoy their show (or comics, or sharktits, you name it) and never bring it up if it's not the right place or time to discuss it; then you get the rabid ones, wearing in public paraphernalia of their thing of interest no matter how inappropriate it is for the place or time, and never shut the fuck up about how Pinkie Pie/John Egbert/the A-10 Thunderbolt is their waifu and how much they want to fuck her/him/it.
Dude I don't know why but when that plane porn gets posted in LMAO pics I get the weirdest boner.

But you can find them in any fandom. Besides, we all know Luna is best.
A thread protector out of wood?
Yeah, to protect the threads he has on his barrel, he has threaded it for his own selfbuilt silencer.
Yeah, to protect the threads he has on his barrel, he has threaded it for his own selfbuilt silencer.
Please tell me that is made of wood too. Delicious shrapnel everywhere.
Yeah some of the fanbase is retarded. But you can find them in any fandom. Besides, we all know Luna is best. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ipvVo.jpg[/t]
That is bad and you should feel bad
Besides, we all know Luna is best.
Again, there are other times and places to discuss ponies. [editline]Luna would not wield anything quieter than a .308 and you know it. THINE SMALL CALIBER SHALL BE CONSIDERED AN OFFENSE.[/editline] Seriously.
Please tell me that is made of wood too. Delicious shrapnel everywhere.
Nah, the silencer is made out of solid steel and wieghs around 1.2 kg I think. The classmate who hacked up a perfectly good k98 stock duracoated it black and more, made a silencer that weighed 2 kg, but he lightened it, so now it "only" weighs 1.7 kg, which is over the double of a standard perfectly good silencer. But back home, I was told of guy who had "borrowed" a homeguard MP5 made his own silencer for it. Out of Nylon. It lasted exactly 30 rounds of full auto before it was melted.
How the fuck do you make a silencer 2kg? What?
Solid steel. And the size is humongous, like bigger than 2 soda cans in length and much wider. Each baffle in the silencer was like 4-6mm thick and the diameter was something like 10 cm. Oh and his backchamber is now bigger, due to removing much steel :v: He made his own silencer actually more effective and lighter, by removing so much on the inside. He says his .308 now has less recoil than his .22
It's funny because silencers don't affect recoil that much. Muzzle rise maybe, due to the humongous weight of this particular specimen, but...
It was long enough for my Aimpoint Micro mount. The ends hung off the edges, but it was able to get a solid grip on the rail.
Do you have a link to the aimpoint and the rail? I can't seem to find either.
I've found silencers to actually help a lot with recoil. My dads .30-06 is a real pleasure to shoot with the silencer on, but without I can't stand it. (Yes, I know, when I say silencer I mean suppressor, sound moderator, whatever) Muzzlerise I've never seen as a problem, but that is due me shooting almost strictly bolt action. In Norway "silencers" are sold more for the recoil reduction, than the sound reduction. A Hausken Silencer weighs around 400-600 gram depending on the model, Stalon is at around 500-580. A-Tec is modular so you can add as much as you want to on them, as you buy more modules. When August comes around, maybe I'll make a silencer for myself if I have access to a machine shop. But I know I'm not gonna make it full steel. I'm probably going try to get my hands on some alumininum, so I won't break 1kg. (I want to make the silencer so I can call it my own, not because I'm greedy)
What is the easiest to find round for a Mauser? Also, I just left Cabela's. I was looking around in the fine gun room. I picked an HK91 out of the case, popped out the mag, and racked the charging handle. The attendant said "Please don't do that." I then put the gun back. A minute later, two probably 12-year-olds walked over and pulled it out, waving it around and shouting "Awesome it's a G3 just like in Call of Duty!" The attendant did nothing. Besides that, they had some cool stuff like a Colt Dragoon, a Springfield trapdoor (that I also got yelled at for working the action), an M1 Garand, an M1 Carbine, an M1A in SOC16 configuration, a couple of Krags, a bunch of Winchester lever-actions, and an original Mosin sniper. [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] Oh yeah, one of the workers didn't know what 45-70 Gov't was.
Cabelas is awesome. When I went to one they had an AUG that I held when no attendants were in the room. It was ok I guess.
Just bought a 100rd drum mag for my AR, as well as 200 rounds of Lake City 5.56 62 grain. I don't know if I made a mistake or not on the drum mag. We'll have to wait and see.
What is the easiest to find round for a Mauser?
What do you mean? Caliber or brand?
What do you mean? Caliber or brand?
As in what is the most common, easiest to find caliber.
I'd say 8mm
What is the easiest to find round for a Mauser?
the US M1917 is essentially a Mauser 1895 chambered in .30-06, but those are pretty hard to find. Otherwise, probably 7x57. You'll find that as either 7mm Mauser, 7x57 Mauser or .275 Rigby depending on where you live and what brand you're buying.
So lets say i bought 440 rounds of 7.62 x 54r rounds and i don't have a can opener. How do i open a spam can
