Yeah, but getting Swiss citizenship is pretty much impossible.
Czech Republic is where shit's at.
Really? Tell me more I'm interested, I haven't heard about the Better-Motherland in a long time.
Can someone explain to me what is the point of bump firing? It just looks stupid and unnecessary to me.
It's fun.
Not exactly easy to get the point across until you actually do it.
Without doing it you think "What a waste of ammo / shit accuracy / fag" but when you actually do it if you don't grin and have fun you're a monster.
Though personally I'd just assume get a slidefire stock. Then you can still aim and retain some semblance of accuracy

Was that video of TMH firing 350 rounds of 5.45 through his AKS-74U posted here or did I get it somewhere else? I can't remember.
As far as it goes though it's funny. He fires so much ammo through it and later comments "But yeah that's 350 rounds through this thing. I don't think anyone is crazy enough to fire so much ammo through a gun in one go"
All I could do was laugh because one of the guys here fired an entire 440 round spam can through his nugget.

Hmm, a finnish gunsmith is selling Mosin Nagant-based custom rifles 9mm para, .308 and the good ol' 7.62x53R. Oh, and they all can be bought silenced.

Pretty cool, and doesn't look too tacticool for what it's going for

I'm having my hunting licence exam tomorrow, if I get my licence (I'm 90% sure that I will) I'm definately considering one of them.
That I'm seeing here is a Mosin Nagant barrel and receiver assembly put into a crudely hollowed out 2 by 4 with the butt plate screwed onto the end and a pistol grip thrown on for good measure.
Seems legit. What's he want for it

See for yourself, this article is pretty explicative.
Many times I have considered moving there (currently fought between that and Vermont), but I'm afraid it won't happen for quite a long time.

Price range is 450-700€, 9mm model with silencer is 530€. They optionally come with threaded barrel and silencer. Scope mounts are also available.
I'm mostly intressed in the 9mm model since carabines like Marlin camp carbine and Sub2k would require a special licence for being too short.
[editline]10th June 2012[/editline]
Bah, I read some reviews and apparenttaly they are not too good. Scratch that idea. Let's see if I can find some other legal carabines.
I love my Sub2k, everyone should own one

I always wanted one of those, but good luck finding one in Ireland, and I wouldn't be able to buy it legally, it's a really American gun.
In other news, I recently came into extra money after fluking my way through a high buy in poker game I'm now 750 euro up. So it's either computer stuff or a visit to my buddy for some heavy ordinance. I heard that there's some old FNC's and G3's knocking about, I seen him with one G3 but it was battered as fuck and the hand guard was loose. I think I might just get something cheap and cheerful and spend the rest on some PC parts and booze.

What is that in US Dollars? I know the Euro is worth a lot more.
That doesn't sound like a fair deal at all for a Mosin Nagant. They're like $100 and their stocks look better.

Oh really? That sucks. I can't imagine why they'd get bad reviews they look so good.

cool, thanks.
So I want to buy an sks. I am assuming the Russian made ones are best. Would my local gun store be the best place to buy or is their an online site that has better prices?
Maybe it's just the area I'm in but a lot of gun store owners seem to be assholes.
Calling around to see if any store near me has Hi-Point 9mm Carbines or Sub-2000's in stock. One store I called the guy that answered replied with "No they're very hard to come by" in an extremely snotty tone.
I wanted to reply with "Yeah I know that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to find one."
Its possible to bumpfire with the weapon shouldered you know 0:40 onwards

Those people are fucking retards.
[editline]10th June 2012[/editline]
Wait are those the same ones that posted a video where they ran around firing their AR-15 while flinging it around above their heads one handed?
$350 for a saiga 12 in used condition. Should I go for it?

That .gif doesn't do their stupidity justice. You can barely tell he's firing a gun until it zooms in.
Still though. How retarded do you have to be to pull a stunt like that?
Imagine what would have happened if Sir Floppy Wrists had let the gun flop backwards towards his head or the cameraman.

it looks to me all the "floppyness" is all from him running. He seems to have a pretty good hold on it.
Which is a good thing. But that doesn't make it any less dangerous and irresponsible.
Instead of waiting ages for a Sub-2000 that might never come when I get the money I'm buying a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine.
After talking to Vaun it seems like a great little gun, especially for the price.
Aren't you under 21?
Good luck trying to buy 9x19. Some places will ask you if it's for a rifle or a pistol, in which case you can get away with it, but most will card you. I guess you can always order online too... just saying, FTF ammo sales might be a bitch :v:
Funny story regarding that actually, was at Cabelas buying .30-06 for my 1903 and the cashier girl asked me if it was for a rifle or pistol. I know a lot of people know fuckall about guns, but come on.

Aren't optics on the dust cover a generally bad idea?
When I need to buy ammo for my pistol I go through a friend. Though I don't think I'll have that same problem with my rifle, the guy that owns the gun shop I go to most is pretty lax. If I showed him a carbine that fires 9x19 I doubt he'd give me any grief about buying pistol rounds.

catfag and cokeman are both generally pretty safe with their guns. They know what they can and can't get away with and never do anything really unsafe or illegal. The only shit they ever get is from people who were raised thinking guns were finicky little pieces of crap and the slightest bump could cause you to accidentally empty the entire load into the wife, kids, and family dog.

Yeah I wasn't raised like this at all and I still think they're unsafe retards.
this reminds me of all the other times you've gotten pissy over what other people are doing

Do you always have to get your scrotum in a bunch? Holy shit you are one of the most annoying people in this thread, I think you've taken Pruss's spot.
Thread sure is shit this weekend.
