Can you spot what's wrong?
Gas tube?
Can you spot what's wrong?
There is a stain on your floor.
Is that... is that a DI gas tube?
It's an SVT-40
Jesus christ how horrifying
It's an SVT-40
That's some classy, original stupidity right there. They weren't content with just sticking magpul furniture on an sks or something, they went above and beyond the call of stupid.

I don't mind it to be honest, still some work to be done but looks neat.
So, i've heard opposing ideas and opinions, but what is the best method of cleaning after firing corrosive ammunition? I already clean my barrel well and everything, just like to know everyone's ideas and opinions.
Kinda late but I use boiling water down the bore from the chamber. It pushes most of the salts out the muzzle. Follow that witg your regular cleaning regiment and you should be good. I alsi like to use windex for the ammonia content but I would not reely on it alone.
Could anybody tell me how much a single .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge weighs? I tried looking it up on google, but all I get is the weight of the bullet itself and not the cartridge.
A box of 20 rounds goes from 80$-125$ depending on the manufacturer, so roughly ~6$ a bullet. Might as well be shooting gold really.
Alright gents, here's what's up: I'm moving into an apartment in August, and this will be the first time I'm living off-campus. That being said, I'm looking into a shotgun for home defense, and I have to admit that I'm in unfamiliar territory. What would you guys suggest as a cheap shotgun for home defense? Emphasis on cheap.
You can't go wrong with a good ol' Mossberg 590 or a Remington 870.
A box of 20 rounds goes from 80$-125$ depending on the manufacturer, so roughly ~6$ a bullet. Might as well be shooting gold really.
He said weighs, not costs
He said weighs, not costs
oops.
I got an email back from Kel-Tec!
We are shipping them just as fast as they’re built, but because of their popularity, there is still a backorder. I’m very sorry about the wait, but they are worth it. We divide them (and every batch of firearms) evenly among our 30 wholesalers, but have no control over or knowledge of whom or when they are shipped to the dealers. I’m sure they are filling order in which they were received. If you’ve placed an order already and are still waiting, you can try another dealer or see if your dealer will try with other wholesalers, if not, I’d suggest getting your order in as soon as possible to get in line. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Unfortunately, we only sell directly to wholesalers and law enforcement, so we don’t know the dealers in your area, nor can we ship directly to one. You can look up dealers in your zip code on the internet, though, and you’ll need to put in an order for what you’re looking for with them. Thank you, Ericka
Looks like they're still making the Sub-2000, but they're being claimed as fast as they can pump them out!
Deal Extreme has a bunch of really cheap picatinny accessories that supposedly all work as they're supposed to I might pick up an AR-15 soon and get a VFG, flashlight, and red dot from dx for like $40 total. I'm not too worried about a VFG or flashlight from them but I figure if the red dot sucks it's only $20 lesson learned move on
been lifted for a while but i'm in the middle east currently and i didn't feel like posting when that angry child was around :)
what are you doing there if you dont mind me asking?
Hey have you guys seen the Mossberg JIC shotguns? They're pretty sweet imo, if not a tad overpriced: In all honesty, you could probably do the same thing with some wide diameter PVC piping and some end screw-caps. If I bought this I'd probably slap a fold-out rifle stock on it as well.
It's an SVT-40
Those bubba jobs are becoming increasingly popular on the CGN forums due to the Dragunov being banned.
My Romanian AK-47 got here today. WOOO COSMOLINE
also whats the difference between a AVT stock and SVT?
I don't think there is a difference, or I can't find one from looking at AVT's and SVT's
The most expensive SVT in finnish market I could find costs about $870 (700€). [editline]12th June 2012[/editline] Oh, and one place is selling SVT-40 carbine for $1099 (880€)
no you can't
I thought they were dick cheap in Canada. I guess i'm not sure what that translates to in relative terms.
