Hey, a quick heads-up for everyone. Stop buying italian-made firearms and other related products until this "looks evil and therefore is dangerous" bullshit law is repealed. They're trying to pass some shit that re-categorizes everything that "resembles a full-automatic weapon" from hunting (can own infinite of them) to sports (can own only 6). So please, in the name of decent gun laws, boycott the fuck out of Beretta and others. What's a good .22LR assault/battle rifle inspired gun? If I wanted for instance something that resembled a SCAR I could get the ISSC MK22, but apparently it's pretty shitty (for the price especially.) What do I want to look for if I want a .22LR firing replica of these kinds of weapons? I figured it'd be all the fun of the original assault/battle rifle with the cheapness and ease of fire of a .22 (and I can hunt small game when I'm really fucking bored!)

I don't remember the model name but they're pretty common you should be able to find one in about 10 minutes

At 400 bucks though it isn't the cheapest .22lr. I know you can take a 10/22 and throw it in one of the many tacticool stocks on the market. Probably find a SCAR version if you look hard enough.

It's not really a battle rifle, but I think it's pretty neat.

That'd be awesome, it'd compliment the Mosin I'm eventually going to buy in the coming months too! I'd just need like an Enfield and a Type 99 or something and I'd have my WW2 weapon collection set

so I can get a rifle and an IED all in one no problem
Also will need a K98K, K31, 03 Springfield, M1 Garand, Swedish Mauser, Finnish M39, MAS 36 and the ones already listed... better get started.
*pics*
Good looking boomstick! And impressive storage capability in that Pelican case![editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
What's a good .22LR assault/battle rifle inspired gun? But they're made by the same company that makes the Colt .22 AR, which is rather unimpressive. The MP-5 looked like an almost exact duplicate of the pre-lawsuit GSG model, though...
Oh and the Italian Carcano
Well my bubba'd 20 ga. got it's first kill today killed one of those damn pesky woodchucks.
How much buck could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck buck?

[editline]21st June 2012[/editline]
you also need a krag jørgensen preferably guttekarabin
Those Krag's are gorgeous looking rifles.
Someone on /k/ found an AK rusted to shit. It probably was on the bottom of a lake. Or went through a fire. Or both. Using a knife, two multitools and a little bit of CLP, he started to work.
I'm doing brain surgery with a hatchet here
Now the rifle is apparently able to dry-fire. Live fire test is tomorrow, the trigger will be pulled with a long rope. Good job, Anon. Papa Mikhail is proud.
Speaking of AK-47's, took mine to the range today and ran 90 rounds through it. Bumpfire-stocks are the most fun things ever made.
Speaking of AK-47's, took mine to the range today and ran 90 rounds through it. Bumpfire-stocks are the most fun things ever made.
I plan on getting one when I get my AR next month. Those stocks won't fit on my AK.
I plan on getting one when I get my AR next month. Those stocks won't fit on my AK.
Normally I'd say get one for both but they're damned expensive for being a plastic stock. Fun as hell though, well worth the money.
My prediction is it's going to fire the first couple of shots then it's going to break apart or something.
You don't know AK's huh?
my prediction is that it's not gonna cycle properly, but will otherwise be safe to use
My prediction is it's going to fire the first couple of shots then it's going to break apart or something.
It's an AK, if it can fire 1 shot just fine it will fire the next 100 just fine.
biggest problem will be barrel and gas function the guide rails are a bit bent but the bcg slides decently
I'm most worried about the gas system, I've seen some really fucked guide rails work flawlessly.
The spring is fucked beyond the point of fuckery, though. If he hasn't replaced that one, wave goodbye to cycling.
Speaking of AK-47's, took mine to the range today and ran 90 rounds through it. I'm very curious about how that AK will work out. If anyone gets an update on the firing post it here :)
you can blabber on about AKs being unbreakable but steel kind of gets weakened when left in a fire?
I don't know that he meant it literally went through a fire. It doesn't seem like it did, i imagine it might be a bit more warped if it had since the steel is a bit thin...but i don't know anything about fire, or AKs really...so i'm just guessing.
